GT #78: Bullets @ Rockets 8 PM (NBCSW/1500 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Tue Apr 3, 2018 4:48 pm

YOUR Washington Bullets ARE GONNA BE THE 7TH OR 8TH SEED.

With another pathetic loss, they travel to Houston to play the Rockets who have the best record in the NBA. The Rockets were blown out by the Spurs great defense and that snapped the Rockets 11 game winning streak.

John Wall makes his 2nd game back tonight. We'll see how ready he is to play against CP3 and Harden. But in all likelihood, it'll be another L, right? The Wiz did blow out the Rockets in DC back in December....

We're not getting to 5 so tank to 8 and avoid the Cleveland bracket. An injured Celtics might also leapfrog Toronto to 1.

It's a clash between the 1st place team in the Southeast Division and the 1st place team in the Southwest Division. Wizards only 20 games behind Rockets. Time to make a move. The Desert meets the Swamp for the Nexus in Texas. Texas is open carry, right? They could use Arenas.

There is too much uncertainty about where Cleveland will end up to worry about tanking. We should still try and win for now and avoid the 8th seed and a Toronto matchup. We'll know more about Cleveland in two more games. They play Toronto tonight and us on Thursday.

If Cleveland wins those 2 games, it looks like a 3rd seed is assured and we should tank to 7th or 8th. Fortunately, Cleveland will have delivered one of the necessary losses to us. If Toronto wins and/or we win, then Philly will probably finish 3rd and we'll have an interest in fighting for 6th or at least 7th.

By the way, Houston is now 6 games ahead of the ailing Warriors with only 5 games left to go. They have home court advantage locked up for the entire playoffs, including the Finals. They have no real incentive to win and will probably start resting guys.

Statement game for the Wizards. The Curse of Elvin Hayes will prevail!

I might even get home early enough to watch the 4th quarter.

True barometer game. I actually think that we matchup very well with them and I think Wall will be playing super fast

Waiting for Brooks to use the word "unacceptable" about his team's defense and lack of effort, esp. Beal and Kieff on D.

At least Oubre is consistent. He's now what, 1 for his last 30 from 3. Hey, a Mahinmi sighting after Kieff gets owned by Nene again.

Sato has to score some with this second unit esp. considering Oubre is ice-cold from everywhere.

They are going all-out and that's nice while resting Ariza and Anderson just got hurt and is out for the game. But they'll still win by 25.
