I've seen him listed as mid- to late 2nd round pick but I think he could be intriguing to Portland, Golden State, Brooklyn, or Boston in the bottom 5 of the 1st.
(Houston too if Atlanta didn't have their pick)
I also think Dallas should be interested at the top of the 2nd.

As a Mavs fan I’d love it he the Mavs were able to take him in the 2nd. He’d fit pretty well next to Bamba if that’s who they end up drafting in the 1st round.

This power forward class is pretty thin so Wagner has risen up the charts for me. I have him right after the lottery. He’s going to be a scorer in the NBA and even if he’s a defensive liability, I think he can have more effectiveness on offense than a guy like Frank Kaminsky.

He offers no rim protection and must improve his stamina. Don't think he's a long-time starter or anything though, but could play in a rotation.

reminds me a lot of Kevin Pittsnogle.....Beilein played him in similar role @ WVU.

Better shooting David Lee. Probably not a terrible player. Wouldn't take him in the Lottery, but late first round, early second round I could see it. Has to play the 5, or a 4 with an incredible defensive 5 to protect him (Gobert, Adams, etc).

If you think you're getting "a better shooting David Lee" he should be much higher than an early second round pick. :lol:

I think he'll climb up the draft boards once the private workouts begin. His offense is very promising, though he needs to prove he can play defense.

I think Kaminsky and Muscula. IMO, he is a stretch big and not more else. 2nd rd is correct.

Better shooting David lee would be definitely a lottery pick. Most likely top 8-10 as well.

Kaminsky really? Wagner is much thicker and stronger than both of them. Wagner has very good skills for a big, but Kaminsky is simply at a higher level. Maybe a stronger version of Muscala works.

Remember Lee was a top notch rebounder and a high level passer with a great feel for the game. Two important distinctions there.

Lee was actually an All-Star once. And I watched him a heck of a lot as a Warriors fan, believe me. Lee's two biggest flaws were defense and shooting. He could do pretty much everything else. Mo might end up a slightly better defender because he's a bit longer. Mo is a better shooter. He's very skilled and those types of players tend to do a lot of things on the court. Lee the better passer, but it wouldn't surprise me if Mo improves a lot there. I always bet on skill.

Why was he so winded after 5 min of play time in the national championship? He's also turning 21 in a couple of weeks. 2nd round pick

Also, he wasn't as good as you seem to remember. Career 40% from 3-10 ft, 42.5% from 10-16 ft, 41.5% from 16+. These are not the shots you want.

He’s a more versatile shooter/better offensive creator than Leonard and more fluid. Doesn’t really make sense other than being big white guys that can shoot.
