Rebs, deflections, physical, 3s and make curry guard. Describes a lot of us.

Philadelphia improved to 29-25 with Monday's win, already surpassing the club's win total from 2016-17. The 29 wins are the Sixers' highest total before the All-Star break since their 2000-01 campaign.

Two years ago as today, we had 8 W and our rotation was:

JGrant
Covington
Okafor
Ish
Stauskas

Hollis
TJ
Holmes

Just sayin' .
Amazing what patience and talent can do. The orchad is growing.

I just want to state here and now for the record that I am against LeBron joining the team even in a minimum deal. I don't watch sports to root for the favorite

Unrelated to Sixers but as basketball fans, everyone should check out the Kobe/Shaq interview on TNT/NBA network.
Its the best basketball thing I have seen in a LONG time.

Maybe we can explore slowing the pace and lessening the passes while more post(iso) for ben and jojo if mismatch via screenplay?

Interesting stat, expected but exciting.

We're the only young team in the playoff spot. The others are tanking or are in the middle of the river (Lakers).

Best 5 man lineups in the last 11 years by NETRTG

Image

Pretty good company.
The 2012 season was odd: they played only 66 games, so the Suns had the best lineup but they weren't able to reach the postseason.

I think we could be on the 2014 Warriors team path this year: around 50 wins in the regular season and maybe a first round exit.
If Fultz is going to be what is expected to be and we find our Durant in the next 2 offseasons, things are going to be really interesting in Philly.

- Said we're going to benefit bigtime from postseason experience
- Mentioned how good Joel is.
- Was happy for Fultz getting back on the court.
- Didn't like us being compared to Kevin's Thunder. Mentioned how we're benefiting from vets like J.J. and Ilyasova and they were all young kids. Also pointed out that they had 3 future MVPs on the roster.

I think that's pretty much all he said. He spent the majority of the podcast getting drunk and lashing out at morning show talking heads.

It might be considered somewhat offtop, but I just watched Spielberg's new movie "Ready Player One" and can't help myself but found so many Process parallels in it. I want to share it just for fun.
So here is my "Ready Player One" - "Process" analogies (put it under the spoiler, cause there are actually some spoilers):

Spoiler:
OASIS is the "Process" itself

Easter Egg - it could be Championship or general success Sixers eventually get.

3 keys and 3 challenges you should go through to get the Easter Egg - first 3 years of the "Process", 3 years of tanking.

CHARACTERS
James Donovan Halliday (creator of OASIS, died as Hinkie "died for our sins") is obviously Sam Hinkie

Ogden "Og" Morrow (Halliday's friend, who stayed after he's gone, kind of behide the scene helps Parzival and the group to go through the process of finding Easter Egg, eventually becomes their mentor to help them to rule the Oasis) - Brett Brown

Nolan Sorrento (the main villain, wants only power and money, wants to destroy OASIS) - Adam Silver

I-r0k (experienced guy, works for Nolan Sorrento, helps him from inside the OASIS) - Jerry Colangelo

High Five - 5 Sixers' players

Parzival (main character and leader of the group) - Joel Embiid

Art3mis (second leader of the group, star of the game, famous player, in real life has a supporting cast (sponsors, PR, Rich Paul, etc.) - Ben Simmons

Aech (Parzival’s friend who speaks kind of funny and who later in real life came over to help him) - Dario Saric

Daito (another good player, uses form of Gundam to defend the team against Mechagodzilla) - Robert Covington

Shoto (talented player and youngest member of the team) - Markelle Fultz

And finally crowd of other players who came at the end to help High Five against IOI troops - this is us, Process Trusters when we support our players and fight against haters and critics.

You're welcome to share your thoughts on this after you watch the movie :)

JJ, Beli and ilya are among the leaders in +/- in the team (top 3,4&5 repectively), all three better +/- than Ben Simmons!

Our team plays greater D whenever Amir is oncourt (101.7 DRtg that is as good as the 2nd best defensive team in the league), still great D when he's off court (102.2DRtg).

Amir is top 8 in screen assist per 36.

Roco and Biid are 2nd and 3rd in RAPM, repsectively.

Biid top 7, roco top 12 and Biid 31st in RPM

Embiid top in the league in rim protection (-12 diff% shots >6ft.) Embiid top 6 in contested 2s per game; top 10 in contested shots per game. Top 10 in Reb%

Ben Simmons top 7 assists%; Sixers plays worst offense when Ben is off the floor (109ORtg oncourt vs 101ORtg offcourt)

Roco is top 2 in deflections per game and TJ is among top 10 in deflections per 36

Ilyasova top in the league in charges taken

Sixers top 4 in NetRtg, top 13 in ORtg (Celtics top17th in ORtg)

This probably deserves its own thread but I'm loathe to bring politics onto this forum. A big story in the UK's Guardian about 76ers part owner Josh Harris and the Trump administration: link
