Lyles comes across as lazy. I'm sure it didn't help that the fans were ticked that Booker wasn't picked instead, and happy when Lyles was traded.

What a douche. The kid had/has an attitude problem.

That's funny. Trey was hurt when he was traded. Nothing more. Jefferson was class act. Love it here.

Oh, damn! The practice!! The horror! Imagine having to actually ... WORK to improve your game.

The irony is that Lyles seem to prefer Corbin because there'd be less practice time, but Corbin wouldn't have played him at all and just play the vets.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

OKC always give some fun to fans! And still more for non-fans. After last loss:
"He was great," said Paul George, who scored 20 points. "He was great. He took it to another level -- a level that those guys didn't have an answer for."
May be "those guys didn't" but Carmelo did! It was 9/0 of 3p and total 16 for staggering 12. And recap discusses bad George shooting at some length, but no comment about that.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, should be more than enough to stop the ridiculous forum-posters who say that Quinn was the issue, and not Lyles. Q and his staff work miracles with hard working players, and those who don't give a damn, or put in part-effort, screw themselves.

Boston has had a lot of bad luck this season with injuries, and the recent bad news is that Irving is done for the season, playoffs included. LeBron and the Warriors' road to the finals and title just got easier.

Boston long term is better off having Kyrie do the surgery now and get both Kyrie and Hayward back healthy next season. Why Kyrie didn’t have the surgery the second he came to Boston is beyond me though. I mean maybe they truly didn’t know he would need to get the screws removed, but it sounds like they did know all along. Either way Boston’s young guys are going to get a ton of experience from the playoffs.

Trey B continues his resurrection. I'm happy for him but still really glad he doesn't play for the Jazz.

Re: Around the NBA, Season 2017-2018
The Clippers are finally officially eliminated from playoff contention with just two games to go. Considering Doc Rivers lost CP3 and Griffin, and then lost replacements Beverley and Gallinari for nearly the entire season, Teodosic for half the games and Avery Bradley for all but six games, I think Doc did an admirable coaching job to stay in the playoff race this long.

Really good job. And taking Blake away long term was a solid and ballsy move.

Re: Around the NBA, Season 2017-2018
Does anyone know if the NBA will repeat the way they handled all the awards (COY, ROY, MVP, etc.) last season, meaning, delay the announcement of many of the picks until after the playoffs instead of announcing them during the playoffs like it had been done in the past? I really hate the way it was done last season, it killed the momentum and interest in those picks.

Haven’t heard jack but I don’t think the awards show was highly watched so they may scratch it.

Watching the Pels and Portland game. I didn’t post anywhere my predictions but I think the Pels take down Portland. What I thought would happen is happening. AD can’t be stopped. While I LOVE Gobert he can’t do on the offensive end what AD can.

If only the Jazz had the assets to get AD, a core of DM, Rudy, and AD would be nuts.

He was by far and away my number one player in that draft. I hated him being minimized on OKC. Glad he gets to shine. Wish we would have traded for him.

I am so glad that we didn't extend Hood. At this point, unless he suddenly gets hot in the playoffs for an extended run, I think his reputation probably is that of a frequently injured player who is a lousy defender. Hood missed 25% of his Cleveland regular season games with various injuries and he left two other games early with injuries. He missed nearly 28% of the Jazz games earlier this season with various injuries. He finished the regular season ranked number 101 for Defensive Real Plus Minus for shooting guards at minus 3.06.
If he still hopes to get paid as a reliable, good NBA starter, he might have to accept a modest one year deal somewhere for the 2018-19 season and hope he has a more impressive showing next year. JMO.
