Don't hold your breath. You might be waiting awhile. I think Lebron's goals for his career are as follows:

1) Try to catch Jordan in rings (unlikely)
2) Overtake Kareem as the all-time scoring leader (possible)
3) Become the first father/son duo to play in the NBA together. I don't watch many youtube videos of the kid, but all I keep hearing is that colleges are already lining up for Lebron Jr. even though he's only in the 7th grade. That makes him eligible for the draft (assuming that the NBA starts allowing high school kids back into the draft) in 2023. 2024 at the latest if they don't change the rules. I would bet my house that Lebron will arrange for his contracts to set him up to be a free agent during the summer his son is eligible to be drafted. (Here's another interesting scenario to ponder - what happens if Lebron Jr. isn't as good as his dad, and it looks like he might be a mid-1st rounder. Hell, let's say he's a 2nd round talent. Does his stock get bumped up if we all know Lebron will sign with whatever team drafts his son?)

Lebron is 32 years old. He'll be, what 37 or 38 when Lebron Jr. enters the league. Playing at that age isn't impossible, especially with all of the HGH he consumes. I'm afraid that guy is going to be around for awhile.

Who wants to grow up as lebrons son living in his shadow then play with him when they are trying to make their own career. That would piss me off daily

You're kind of projecting your hatred for Lebron onto his son here. How do you know that Lebron Jr. dislikes playing in his dad's shadow? How do you know he doesn't' want to be just like his dad? At least that's how it was for me. I still strive to be the man my dad was. ,

If PHI does win out, that's perfect. They'll probably be spent and I wouldn't be surprised to see MIA steal a few games early / possibly the series. Either way MIA or PHI in round 2 is soooooooooo much better than CLE.

If I had to guess, LeBron will rest vs the Knicks at least once. The dude hates that franchise and would enjoy them getting a worse pick.

Also, I sincerely doubt that he cares enough to prefer one of Toronto/Boston over the other—he knows he’ll work both teams.

I think he puts a lot of stock in playing 82 games this season. I'd bet he rests the majority of the second halves in those games.

Anyone think we have a solid shot at going to the conference finals if the seeding stands? Call me crazy but I feel like we do and it would set the basketball world on fire having our 2 best players not playing at all led by 2 young kids.

Ah yes. My bad. He is 33 now. Nonetheless, I think that dude is gonna hang around until his son gets into the league.

I'm with you.

I'm not impressed by Wash/Ind/Mia/Mil.
Cleveland has Lebron, but that's it. We can beat them, even without Kyrie.
And Sixers are so overrated imo. Their schedule is so easy they are 17-3 since march 1st but it was against :

4 games vs Hornets
3 games vs Brooklyn
2 games vs Knicks
Atlanta / Detroit / Memphis / Orlando
Minny (not even sure they will be in the playoffs)
Denver(not in the playoffs yet).

They lost Vs Miami/Milwaukee/Pacers....three playoffs teams.

They beat Cleveland, but again, Cleveland is not that good.

Severely doubt we'd have any chance against the Cavs without Kyrie.

Sixers we might.

Yup, ton of variables. But, CLE can still beat the Knicks twice without him. Completely agree he doesn't care a ton on us vs Raps, but the rest of the team probably does.

If Lebron stays at 4 and prefers 4 it's because of Miami and only Miami.

Lebron is 0-8 in Miami since leaving Miami, including some beat downs in Miami.

Playing Miami round 1 is too much drama if Lebron can avoid it, Spoelstra, Riley, Wade.......Olynyk terrorizing Kevin Love.

Raptors fans freaking out so bad about the playoffs lol.

On a side note, Lebron has a chance to have the same route to the finals this season as last season; Indy, Toronto, Boston without their star PG again lol.

Little Rondo was BRILLIANT tonight as Pelicans beat Dubs & KD’s 40 points.

Imaging having your best season ever and being rewarded with Wizards and then Lebron in the playoffs. Things are so tight that it could easily flip though.

I can’t get there yet. They should win round 1 but they will be a big time dog against any round 2 opponent. Only way I see it is if we draw Philly in round 2 and Embiid is still out

Unless LeBron sits vs the Knicks, its looking very likely that Brooklyn will be giving Cleveland the 9th pick in the draft. I cant wait til we run Yabu out at the point on the last day of the season to clinch it for them.

Bucks and Philly is far from a bad path to the ECF and that’s how it stands at the moment. I hate to to play what if again, but if only the team was healthy..

Knowing the lottery, they'll send Gilbert's kid again and they'll get the #1 pick because everyone and their mother knows LeBron is leaving so the NBA will give them "compensation" :banghead: .

Return to Boston Celtics
