It's been a while since we had a Wise potato chip

He's been the best we have had in the almost 40 years after the Bullets championship season, but being the best from that era on means being painfully average. You almost feel like you deserve painfully average because everything preceding it has been terrible. Ernie has built this franchise two different playoff eras and both eras have been good but very disappointing. Its not fair to be able to stick around in your job for so long because you are average. Ernie has never strived for this franchise, or maybe even for himself, to be better than average.

Look at how far behind he's been in modernizing our roster. Look at culture of underachievement, excuses and irrational "were better than we are" confidence all of his teams have possessed. The guy has survived multiple rebuilds, gun gate, being a league laughingstock and currently has us in cap hell 2 yes after going all in on a Mahinmi, Smith & Nicholson offseason.
That certainly doesn't sound like average to me.
