No thanks on Moute...Long in the tooth. We need fresh bodies on the wings.

Hes so over rated IMO. Never really been a difference maker. He's OK, but it doesnt matter because monies wont work. Moving on.

Overrated by whom? That fact Houston got him for the vet minimum says he's more underrated around the league if anything in my opinion. He's a solid and smart 3 and D player that we're unlikely to find at the back end of the first round(or ready to have an immediate impact) or another FA alternative that's realistically in our price range.

Yeah Mylie really lost me there. Mbah a Moute is overrated? He's been flying under the radar most of his career. His defense has always been very good. But his improvements shooting the ball has really caught my eye.

When I say overrated, I mean by many of you who think he would significantly move the needle for us. I'm not new to knowing about Moute, he was in Milwaukee where he was decent, then bounced around, but never a guy that worried me as a Warrior fan. Even last year with the Clippers he never moved the needle. He's ok, and he can guard, but I just would rather go younger and not on the 31 year old train. If he comes in on a vet min, I wouldn't bat an eye, but really we need to get younger defenders on the perimeter, not another old guy.

I've never claimed he would be that kind of addition. But he doesn't need to significantly move the needle here as we have 4 all stars that already significantly move the needle. You bring in Moute to complement those guys to defend and knock down open shots which he's more than capable of doing for us. It's easy to say let's get younger but picking late in the draft is a crapshoot.

Sign Joe Harris, trade Klay Thompson to Philly.

Offseason Trade

Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Damian Jones

for

Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow

Works on NBA trade machine
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycjsk794

Draymond is one of my favorite players of all time, but Warriors seem like they need to revamp their roster a bit to stay fresh. I wonder what Steph and KD would be able to do with Whiteside?

Whiteside has been complaining about not getting enough minutes.

Guess he's not good in pick and roll defense or something so he doesn't get minutes in crunch time?

I'd rather target a more "today's NBA Center" than Whiteside.

Myles Turner is really intriguing to me. Maybe a trade centered around Draymond Green for Myles Turner, but I haven't worked out the numbers yet.

I would have liked this sort of thing previously, but not now. I think Whiteside is massively overpaid, and he's not that young anymore. Also, he has no idea how to function in an offence. He's the sort of rim protector type that I like, but he comes with salary and limitations elsewhere that we can do without if we are losing Draybeast.

Better off just targeting a guy like O'Quinn for much cheaper.

I’m thinking of a straight win now trade that benefits both teams

Warriors recieve: Tyson Chandler
Suns recieve: Iguadala, 2019 2nd round

Warriors do this because:
They finally get a guy similar to Bogut in regards to defense. He’s also a big body who can set effective screens that could also benefit our shooters

Suns do this because:
They get a savy championship caliber vet on their team. (Yes I know they technically have one in Chandler already) They’re already loaded on centers for the future in Chriss and Lee. Chandler is currently on a two year deal and we can definitely take it off their hands. Iguadala gives them wing defense that their team so desperately lacks.

Thoughts?
The scariest question in NBA history.

"Can Stephen Curry get better?"

Iggy is playing well right now.

He may yet prove to play an important role in another deep playoffs run.

I think any time the Warriors have to play against Lebron, they need Iggy unless his performance drops off a cliff or he's unable to play a lot of minutes, especially in the postseason.

The Suns most likely wouldn't want any part of that deal. Tyson is also quite old now, and Iggy is showing his playoff stripes as well. Don't think either team does this.

Something based around Livingston/Zaza would be better for us.

Tyson might be old but he still rebounds effectively and defends well.

Bring Vince Carter home if he was only a Warrior for 10 minutes.

Sorry, but don’t like this at all. The ONLY way I see this as reasonable for the Warriors is if they are desperate to re-sign Klay, whose contract would terminate at the same time as Chandler. I think Chandler is not a good fit at center for the Dubs. The Warriors rely on solid passing from the center position and I don’t see Chandler as that guy. Also, he is always hurt. Iguodala is so much more valuable as a playmaker and perimeter defender.
