Done. Its called moving forward. I see no point in repeating over and over how dumb Gores was for making this trade and how dumb SVG was for making this trade and how utterly screwed we are. Its over with.

That's the thing... it's NOT over. We're living the effects of this trade NOW and will continue to for years. There's no way to even talk about where we are right now and what the immediate future is going to be like without constantly referring back to this Blake Griffin trade because him and that massive contract aren't going anywhere.

There's no point in complaining about fans venting because that's most of the people that are left around here. Everyone else mentally checked out on the Pistons a month and a half ago, probably to preserve their sanity.

I'd say you go for a sure thing, an established star. Best case, Damian Lillard.

Winning the lottery would be a god send at this point and if it were to happen we should taken the best player in Ayton, and trade everyone else to start the rebuild. Why on earth anyone would suggest to use the #1 to try and justify the Blake trade or raise our ceiling from the 6th to the 4th spot in the east is beyond me. It’s as short sighted as the rest of SVG’s moves

You're forgetting the legions of obnoxious, fairweather fans who showed up after the Griffin trade and then melted away when it became clear that the Pistons still sucked.

I thought the Griffin trade would get them in, but they still continued to play poorly, they only started looking decent when RJ came back, then BG got hurt. I think Griffin will make them better in the next few years, he was/is an upgrade, the problem with him isn't whether he's a good player, it's his contract/age/injury history, unless the salary cap explodes again and makes it less impactful.
