We had 17 players on our 2017 SL team. Possible 2018 Roster:
Taurean Prince - I listed him but I don't think he play.
John Collins
Deandre Bembry (he missed too much injury time)
Tyler Dorsey
Damion Lee
Isaiah Taylor
Tyler Cavanaugh
Josh Magette
Antonius Cleveland
Jaylen Morris
Andrew White
Alpha Kaba
3 - 2018 1st round picks (yes we'll get the Minny pick  )

Isaia Cordinier (not sure he's healthy, think he had knee surgery recently enough). He wanted to play with GL last season.

Other draft and stashes:
Drafted 2015 - Dimitrios Agravanis - torn ACL in Dec.
Drafted 2015 - Marcus Eriksson - fractured wrist month or so ago.

Taylor/Dorsey/Bembry/Cavanaugh/Collins will destroy SL opponents.

The Hawks will compete in the Utah Jazz Summer League in July before they depart for the Las Vegas Summer League. The Hawks will be one of the four teams in the Jazz Summer League and will play three games early in the month.

The other teams are believed to be the Jazz, Spurs and 76ers. The Hawks replace the Celtics, who recently pulled out of the summer league.

All 30 NBA teams will compete in the Las Vegas Summer League from July 6-17.

Last year’s rookie class of John Collins and Tyler Dorsey will definitely be on the Hawks’ summer league rosters. In addition, several players signed during the year like Tyler Cavanaugh, Antonius Cleveland and Jaylen Morris could play.

:D

Growing - - Growing - - Growing.

We all know, when we have not seen children for a while, one of the first remarks is," My, My. How they have grown!"

Just think of all the young players that the Hawks have and how they are growing. Not only did our G League players
do really well this past season, just think of all the young, first and second year players showed up on the floor for
the NBA league Hawks!!

Unless the Hawks trade some of them away, they have four draft picks. Three in the first round, then one more
as soon as they begin the second round. Here the question is, "What do we need that we do not already have?"
These draft picks must be far superior to the young players we already have. We expect the high picks to be better
but, will the others? We certainly hope so. (Or, they will play a position we really are weak at)

Now, we have another question. Will our GM trade some of these draft picks and some current Hawks for someone?
Probably not our first one, but maybe some of the others. Another thought. If Bud leaves, Hawks may move up a
few places in the draft with one of our picks.

And the thought of two summer leagues is really exciting as well. Seems like we will get to see our young guys together quite a bi this summer before training camp.

Questions:

Does the top pick in this draft jump to the top of the depth chart for SL play?

With all this coaching uncertainty, who coachs the kiddies at SL? Longstaff from the Erie franchise?

How much PT should JCollins get since he was already a starter at end of last season?

The assistants typically coach SL but who the hell knows which ones will still be around after the Bud dust is settled one way or the other.

JCollins playing time should be a show case for featuring on offense. I don't remember how much playing time TP got in SL.

1. Prince got a decent amount of PT last summer. But his shot was off and he clearly took a backseat on offense to the less established Collins.

2. Featuring Collins on offense makes sense and is a solid approach. We'd just need to have a new coaching staff in place to know what type of offense to feature.

(Collins in the high post? Collins in the corner for three? Collins featured as the roll man on PnR?)

I guess we have months to get it all sorted out.

:o

With the draft and summer league fast approaching, we really need our head coach and staff in place really soon.

Bud may leave but he may not. Can't blame him for wanting to look One main reason, our current GM did not
hire him since Bud was already here, coaching, when he came aboard. They could agree to disagree.

For some reason, too many players and coaches seem to have the attitude, "Anywhere but Atlanta." I hope that
the Hawks can overcome this huge obstacle which has been here for so long. New ownership and front office seem
to be working on this. Example: The new facilities they just opened up this season and the renovated home, completed
for the upcoming season.

Hopefully Jalen Brunson and Khyri Thomas will among the many draftees ready to ball out this summer.
