Who has been your Player of the Season? (2017-18)
I figured it would be fun for everyone to give props to who they think personally was the "MVP" of this team was, despite our losing record we competed hard pretty much in every game and made it tough for even the big dog teams of the league to get a W over us. The team as a whole deserves credit for continuing to compete despite being out of it months ago.
To me, without question, the Player of the season is Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Per36: 18ppg 8rebs 3asts 1stl 55% TS 17PER.
He became a legitimate two way NBA starting caliber player this season. It seems like yesterday he was about to piss his shorts every time the ball got passed to him. Now he's routinely sizing defenders up and killing them with the mid range J. If he can get his 3pt% next season in the 33% range that will be another step in the right direction. Keep up the great work CHAP

Yeah, I'll 3rd that. Still think LeVert is our best player with the 2nd most potential on the team besides Allen, but RHJ was the POTY for us this season.

Jarrett Allen for me. He was the player who exceed all expectations.

Going with RHJ. He was by far the most consistent player all year and once he adds the 3 point shot to his arsenal, watch out!

RHJ.
Harris was a good solid man. CLV and Dinwiddie made progress, but Din faded some in the latter part of the season.

RHJ seems like the answer here. Went from a total offensive liability to leading the team in ppg in three seasons. Some fantastic improvement.
I'll make Allen honorable mention - he seemed like a project who would spend most of his time in the G-league this year, but instead he dunked over everyone and is already one of the better shot blockers in the NBA at 19. Loads of potential with him.

RHJ, if you're talking about overall consistency and production throughout the season.
For second place, a tie between DMC, Dinwiddie, Allen, and Harris.

I'll go with RHJ as well. He's been a very pleasant surprise, and I believe Carroll has been an especially good influence on him. While I don't see "star" potential, I can see RHJ having a long-term Atlanta Carroll-like impact for a team. You're never going to run your offense through him, but he can be a 3rd or 4th scoring option & do all the key glue-guy things.

Great idea my dude.
a poll has now been created. I left some names off based off of the general consensus.

If that TBKG blog doesn't put some respect on Rondae's name I'm gonna be livid - they've disrespected this dude all season with their wack grades after each game. They easily produce the worst Nets content on the internet.
1. Dae - the most consistent player most nights
2. Harris - assassin who competes each night
3. Dinwiddie - cool, calm, collected
Honorable Mention
Carroll - had a career year and anchored the team in moments when they were down big

Rhondae was the only player to be tops on the team in 2 categories scoring and rebounding.
63rd in scoring 39th in rebounding. He's a big part of the team's culture.

Re: Who has been your Player of the Season? (2017-18)
I agree RHJ made the most significant player contributions this year. He was tremendous from the start, and kept it up all season.
When I look back. though, the biggest factor I see is "player development" -- in general.
RHJ
LeVert
Russell
Jarrett Allen
Dinwiddie
Crabbe
Harris
DMC
It's truly incredible how few disappointments (**cough Okafor, **cough Moz), we had.
Edit - I know there is controversy over Russell; I think there is more to be hopeful about than not.
