I would think both Raptors-connect coaches will be interviewed. Perhaps I favor Stackhouse over Nurse in that the Magic needs a motivator more than a brainiac.

I’ll say it again. It’s not going to matter who we hire. We’re going to suck for awhile. Also we’ll likely have vets which all nba coaches play. So in year 2 or 3 this board will be read to fire our head coach.

so if we are going to suck, best to get a coach that develops players.

I personally think HC’s in the NBA have very little to do with development during the course of the season. Imo it’s a waste of time to try and evaluate that.

So that should rule out any 1st time HC... Fizdale and let him do his thing!!!

Fizdale got fired for basically calling out Gasol's poor effort and unwillingness to change

Fizdale was let go primarily because of a player (Gasol) who resented him and the culture change taking place, despite the Grizzlies knowing they’re the ones who asked Fizdale to implement change.

Weltman has ties to Kidd, I hope Magic don’t do that...

Trust me, you guys want Nick Nurse.

He's the guru behind our offense that has finished top 3-10 every season for the last 5 years. He joined us in 2013, we haven't missed the playoffs since.

Listening to Weltman's press conference tells me its either Steakhouse or Fizzle. He's looking for the best young player motivator out there.

There is no better motivation than winning. Give me Nurse.

If it's him it will be a bit since they can't talk to him until the Raps finish in the playoffs I'm pretty sure.

Been sold on Stack for a the past month or so, but pretty intrigued by Nurse as well. Ill say from listening to them both speak, stackhouse SOUNDS much more like a coach (presence about him), but nurse clearly has the resume to prove he knows how to coach and you cant deny how badly we need an offensive make over here. So maybe hiring a guy like nurse can assist in gordon, isaac any HOPEFULLY mario (i know he wont be here) offensive development
