Oh, Mouse wants no part of that fight. His reasoning and excuses has been absolutely hilarious, because he’s such a smart guy, but even he can’t make a convincing case.

But it ruins his legacy right?

I dont think it does. Mouse's legacy is dominating a division like no one has ever done. Now you got guys like Joe Rogan who look at that and call Mouse the P4P GOAT, then you also have plenty of people who wont ever put him in that category because the lack of competition. The last time we saw Mouse against a legit top tier fighter, he lost and dropped down a weight class. I think a lot of damage can be done to his legacy if he jumps up in weight and takes a couple Ls. 135 actually has some legit fighters with the likes of Curz, TJ and Cody. Even when you get past those guys you got guys like Rivera and Moraes that wouldnt be a walk in the park.

To me its up to Mouse, how much does he really want those bigger paychecks that hes always talking about. Fights with Cruz, TJ and Cody definitely would give him a much bigger payday than hes used to, but its also a huge risk to his legacy. I think he cares more about looking unbeatable then being challenged and getting that payday.

It kind of makes him look like a punk. He’s a dominant fighter, and another champion wants to meet him at his weight, and he’s avoiding it.

Haha so Dana said there is a possibility that Brock returns and he gets the winner of Stipe vs DC. This is what I hate about the UFC after the WME buyout, Brock doesnt have a win in MMA since 2010. It took him to be roided up like no other to just take Mark Hunt to a decision the last time we saw him. It would be a disgrace if he got at title shot.

You guys realize this is the Non-threadworthy UFC Event thread (for events no one cared enough about to make a thread for), not the Non-threadworthy MMA Rumors/Quotes/Tweets/Etc., thread?

Lol I've wanted to say this so many times.

Nemesis is the biggest culprit.

Am I the only one more excited about the two fight nights the next couple weeks over the next PPV?

Barboza vs Lee and Frankie vs Cub is a much more intriguing main and Co main compared to Nunes vs Pennington and Jacre vs Gastelum.

No, and it's not just the main events. Sterling vs. Johns is an excellent fight. Branch is high level if not exciting and he's facing Thiago Santos who has been a scary dude lately. Even have Ricky Simon on the pre-prelims. If you watch LFA, you know that guy is an animal. He's 135 lb Kamaru Usman. Destroyed Chico Camus, who left UFC as a mid-level guy and had improved since. That looks like one of the circa 2011 or so UFC cards you can watch top to bottom and enjoy the experience.

Eyeing up Gaethje and Condit for betting. Anyone have thoughts?

Is Condit so washed up he should be plus money against Oliveira?

Exactly what I was thinking. Condit was turning it on a little vs Magny, possible the first half of the fight was ring rust? Magny is tough because he has made great fighters like Condit and Kelvin look bad but then he has made fighters like Larkin and Maia look great so idk it's tough.

I think Gaetje is better standing than Poirier and has better wrestling.

Take away ref stand-ups and round breaks and Tim Boetsch has an Artem Lobov level win percentage.

Israel Adesanya night. Love watching this sort of prospect come through and watching them grow in the sport.
