Don't be surprised when Milwaukee gets DeAndre Jordan in free agency

I'm not shocked at all by Indy taking that game. That is a tough and versatile unit.

Watching Miami vs. Philly, goddamn unless we strike gold in the draft the Atlantic division is going to be dominated by Ben Simmons for the next 10-13 years. This guy is the best talent to hit the league since Lebron.

it's not a matter of if he becomes the best PG in basketball, but when.

Yeah, i mean porter is an assassin from three but they are paying 30 million for a guy to give them 14/6 with average defense who you forget is even on the floor.

We'll see. Giannis is pretty riddiculous and only 23 years old. once he starts knocking down threes you are looking at basically kevin durant/lebron hybrid with more size and length.

speaking of miami, looking at olynk i wish we would have been able to land him. him splitting 25 minutes better PF and C off the bench would be perfect and he is still relatively young.

I wouldn't be shocked if Marks pulled off some kind of super ironic move this off-season with Washington and acquires Porter lol.

Something like Crabbe and Dinwiddie for him lol.

Can we talk about the Houston Rockets? I can't stress how much I love the makeup of their team. Everyone is long and athletic with bounce, they play much better D then most would think, they turn teams over and rebound and get out and run and yet still have a deadly half court and isolation game and they can shoot the lights out. Everyone on the roster compliments each other and the system being run. They have superstar power and great individual role players. They can go small, big, in-between, they're really a joy to watch.

Well, I mean he's a lot better than Crabbe and fills a position of need and is very young to grow with any core. He'd only make about $6 million more then Dinwiddie and Crabbe combined next year and if we retain Widdie at worst it would be a break even on salary over the following 2 seasons. I'm not advocating the move personally, just playing Devil's advocate. It is something I could see from both sides tbh though.
Man, I could just imagine the commentary on sports radio and TV following a deal like that though lol.

Harden is so unbelievably good. It's hard to fathom that tank job of an elimination game he had last year.

He's got Chris Paul on this roster. Think about how Joe Johnson played when Paul Pierce and KG was on the roster for the Nets. Peer respect is a factor for most players who aren't complete dogs.

Bojan made me proud, he was out there drilling the Cavs and had a sick coast to coast lay up in traffic off of a steal. I hope they beat Cleveland so that chaos will ensue this summer

Watching Brown and Tatum play like veterans in the playoffs makes me want to harm Billy King.

This is why my hands tremble at the thought of ever trading a 1st round pick again. i'd call for Marks to be fired if he ever does it.

It's disgusting, just what if...

I was already fired by that point so I have no behind the scenes discussion information, but this is the exact reason why listening to the business guys in the Nets back then over the basketball people is a bad idea.

I just hate who benefits. Stuff like this is why I hate the Celtics and modern day media.

Read on Twitter

RHJ, DLo, Olynyk, Cauley Stein, Lyles, Delon Wright, Tyus Jones, Oubre, Hernangomez, Harrell all better than Rozier. All have improved or produced year to year in a starting role at some point. Oh, Oubre, Wright, Olynyk, Harrell also did it in playoff roles.

I personally feel like tanking because we need a flashy toy to generate some organizational respect. Being the apart of the worst trade in league history is a real narrative.

Nonsense.

Our basketball person was Billy King. THAT was the problem. Period. There have been tons of win-now situations that don't pull the BS that Billy did. All of his splashy moves included a bunch of unnecessary chips that no competent GM allows. No GM has ever done as much long term damage to a team.

if the 2015 draft, which actually had some nice players in it, had a redo RHJ is a top 10 pick in that draft.

also, for the people that feel like we need to tank and get a top 5 pick. look at this same draft. Devin Booker, Myles Turner, Rondae, Bobby Portis and Terry Rozier were all selected outside of the top 10.

The Nets scouting team in 2019 will be the x factor. not where the Nets end up in the draft.

Billy King viewed draft picks as sweeteners. like a spoonful of processed sugar to a well brewed cup of coffee.

that's why he traded the 6th pick in the draft for Gerald Wallace who was on the decline. his view of draft picks was warped. he didn't value drafting young talent. now the current regime pays the price, the fans are now watching the Nets picks on the Celtics play at a high level in the post season while we sit here bickering over whether D'Angelo Russell is worth even extending at age 22.

Billy King deserves to suffer, yet he sits with money in the bank and a nice home in PA. I guess that we should take solace in the fact that no one will ever hire him again in the NBA?

That's not what I meant. The basketball people said Billy King was worthless when he was hired, but the business side did not listen and hired him anyway. Then again, Marks ended up being less than stellar, too, so even the basketball people weren't exactly awesome.
