Lately he’s becoming one of the most underrated players (by fans not scouts) in this draft. I like him much better than Landry. Watch the highlights from the practices, and in particular the actual senior bowl game. The kid dominated some of the best tackles in the country. He’s going to have a very quiet rookie year similar but in year two, I can see him becoming one of the better DEs in the league.

I missed the Senior Bowl this year, so I'll have to go back & watch him in it...

Courtland Sutton - WR - Mustangs

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein believes SMU WR Courtland Sutton is "the most natural fit" to replace WR Dez Bryant.

Zeirlein has Alabama WR Calvin Ridley ranked ahead of Sutton, but believes Sutton is more similar to Bryant. He says the SMU product is "in the same vein as Bryant from a physical standpoint. He has prototypical WR1 size (6-3, 218). Although he lacks plus speed or separation quickness, he's extremely physical and has the ability to make contested catches on a consistent basis." In addition to Zeirleins' opinion, he recently reported that Sutton could be drafted before Ridley. Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett was also in attendance at Sutton's pro day. The Cowboys are extremely likely to address the wide receiver position early the draft and Sutton would make a lot of sense at pick No. 19.

I don’t think you replace Dez with another player (one rookie WR). I think they should get multiple marquee players to fill that void—and become an even better offense overall. I think there are quite a few playmakers to choose from, they need to double on pass catchers:

Sam Darnold - QB - Trojans

NDT Scouting's Jonah Tuls compares QB Sam Darnold to Los Angeles Chargers QB Philip Rivers.

Tuls has Darnold as No. 1 overall quarterback but acknowledges he is a polarizing prospect. Tuls explains, "He was able to show the most promise on tape from the quarterback position. Whether it was the arm talent to make plays at all three levels of the field, the ball placement to drop those passes in, the pocket presence and accuracy on the run, or his mobility inside and outside of the pocket, Darnold showed that he can be the real deal with continued development." Darnold is an elite prospect who seemed to be a lock to go No. 1 overall a few weeks ago but since then reports have suggested Josh Allen may be in the mix as well. It's unsure whether he will be selected at No. 1, but he should definitely be selected within the top five picks of the NFL draft.

Isaiah Wynn - G - Player

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports teams view Georgia OL Isaiah Wynn as the second-best guard in the draft.

Wynn was a two-year starter for Georgia, splitting time between guard and tackle. He doesn't have as high a profile as UTEP OG Will Hernandez, but teams like his athleticism in zone-blocking schemes. Wynn has a chance to be drafted in the late first round.

Austin Corbett - G - Player

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline expects Nevada OG Austin Corbett to be drafted in the early second round.

Corbett has been one of the biggest risers after a strong showing at the Senior Bowl. A three-year starter at left tackle, there's a lot of Joel Bitonio to Corbett's game. Corbett is competing with Will Hernandez and Isaiah Wynn to be the second guard drafted behind Quentin Nelson.

Another favorite of mine. He reminds me of AB.

There are things I like about him. He seems to do a good job of tracking the ball and adjusting to it to make contested catches, but one thing i noticed in his highlights is that he doesn't get a whole lot of separation. Damn near ever catch in these videos has a defender on top of him. Considering the level of competition Memphis was up against, I worry how that transfers to the NFL.

Not sure if that’ll cause him to fall that much if at all. However, hypothetically speaking, if he were there in the late second I’d be more than happy to snatch him.

Leighton Vander Esch - LB - Broncos

Rotoworld's Thor Nystrom reports that Boise State LB Leighton Vander Esch's medicals include a concussion, a c-spine nerve injury and a minor knee injury.

B.J. Rains, a Boise State beat writer at the Idaho Press-Tribune, passes along that both the concussion and neck injury referenced by Nystrom occurred on the same play in 2016, limiting him to just six games for the campaign. He did not miss time for the most recent campaign. Further padding out this story, ESPN's Chris Mortensen is hearing that "some teams have flagged Vander Esch" for the neck injury, but that "not all necessarily removed him from draft board[s]." All of this comes about following a report from Walter Football's Charlie Campbell earlier on Monday which had more than one team scrubbing Vander Esch from their boards due to medical concerns. Pro Football Weekly's Eric Edholm subsequently released a conflicting report, citing a source close to Vander Esch who "vehemently den[ied]" that there was any real concern over the linebacker's health history.

As much as I like Penny and hope and pray he’s drafted by us, Zierlein is giving him way too much praise with this comparison:

Rashaad Penny - RB - Aztecs

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein compares San Diego State RB Rashaad Penny to former NFL RB Willis McGahee.

Remember McGahee? For a moment he was the most dominant running back in college football, and he showed flashes of brilliance when healthy in the NFL. Zierlein notes that Penny has the "desired NFL size for an every-down running back," and that he "runs with short, controlled strides allowing him to elude sudden tackle attempts and alter his rush track." He also notes he can miss cut lanes, and he often will run too upright. He still projects him to go in the second round, and it'd be an upset if he was still on the board after the first 100 picks.

Courtland Sutton - WR - Mustangs

NFL.com Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah believes that SMU WR Courtland Sutton could be the first wide receiver taken in the draft.

That's not a big surprise to us, as our Thor Nystrom has Sutton listed as the top wide receiver in the class. Jeremiah reports that teams have become "enamored" with his size (6'3/218) and ball skills. "Teams have enjoyed visiting with him throughout the evaluation process," Jeremiah writes. "It wouldn't shock me if he ended up being the first wide receiver off the board."

NFL.com Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah reports that UCLA QB Josh Rosen is the player most likely to slide.

Jeremiah hears from "everyone" that quarterbacks will go with three of the first five selections. "That means someone out of the "big four" QBs -- USC's Sam Darnold, Wyoming's Josh Allen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and UCLA's Rosen -- could slide a little bit," he writes. "When I bring up this topic with personnel executives, Rosen is the one they point to as the most likely slider of the group." Rosen often gets mentioned as the quarterback who is most ready to take over, but there are concerns about durability, and some who question his character off the field. It's tough to imagine Rosen slides past the Dolphins with the 11th pick, but there's always a surprise who is still on the board in the latter part of the first round. It could be Rosen this year.

Quenton Nelson - G - Fighting Irish

NFL.com Draft Analyst Daniel Jeremiah hears that Notre Dame G Quenton Nelson's draft range is somewhere "between six and eight."

That would mean Nelson would go to either the Colts, the Buccaneers and Bears -- assuming a team doesn't trade up. "I have the Notre Dame guard rated as the No. 3 player in this class, but he's probably not going to be a top-five pick," Jeremiah writes. "Most evaluators expect the first five picks of the draft to consist of three quarterbacks, Bradley Chubb and Saquon Barkley."

He's a good one to bring into your facility because there's more projection stuff with him than a lot of linebackers in this class. A lot of people think he can play inside and outside after being a SAM. Good size. Solid tackler. Flashy athletic ability in space and coverage but has mostly played man coverages so far. Good instincts but needs to learn to diagnose quicker. One of the best linebackers in this class at hand usage and getting off blocks. Hasn't been asked to rush the passer very much.

He'd be one of the first guys I'd want to work with from a coaching perspective. He'd be a fun weapon to have for some of the annoying offenses being deployed these days (thanks, Sean McVay). As I mentioned a lot of people have gone into detail about how you kind of have to do some projecting with him based on where he came from but I feel very solid about his NFL projection based on what I want done in '18 and beyond. He doesn't scare me as much as he does others. I don't think he has the highest ceiling but his floor is also much higher than a lot of guys in this class and the past couple classes IMO, too.
