I don't know... with all the staff changes, there is going to be a different level of heat on Red Ball, Marinelli and Linehan than previous years. I know Jerry doesn't like paying people to just go away but his comments after this season were a bit different than before. Not that it matters. I have a strong sense we are in for a bounce back season. I don't have a tangential reason... just a hunch.

Seems lately I'm on on Otis' side of things when it comes to Garrett. I believe he is on a very hot seat going into this season. If the Cowboys don't make the playoffs, I'll go out on the limb and say he will be fired the following Monday after the season ends. And also like Otis, I have a huge hunch about this season, especially if we get what we need on defense. It was fore told to me 6 years ago that it would be 23 years between super bowls. :wizard:

What if the Cowboys go 10-6. 11-5 and don't make the playoffs, do you still fire Garrett. The East is going to even more competitive then it has been with LA, Min, GB, Philly, NO, Atl, Car. Its possible that they could win but still not get in.

I am. At some point I have to see consistent improvement. And - I have to see playoff success. He has had ample time to make statements that indicate progress. I need more.

But - that’s just me.

I'm with you, I'm ready for Garrett to go. I don't believe he's a great game manager and decision maker. Great at speeches tho. I just wanted to provide some alternative situations.

If only Jerry didn't run Bill Parcells and Sean Peyton out of town a few years back, :banghead:

I honestly thought the league would love to have Philly bring the Cowboys in on that opening Thursday night... #RatingsBonanza

Seeings how we have no home field advantage since leaving Texas Stadium, we might be in a bad hole by week 6,

There's no way the NFL would give a team 6 of the last 8 on the road tho, right? Maybe its Goodell getting back at Jerry, saying he better collect all the money he can early.

Don't worry about America's Team making $$$$ for the NFL. Just look at our ratings even during down years. Cowboys making $$$ for everyone has never been a problem.

I can't imagine it. I've never seen a schedule like that for any team.

Like I said - I guess we find out tomorrow night if this thing is bogus or not.

Who the hell in the NFL office makes the damn schedule? When it comes to ratings, they are doing it all wrong.

Screw ratings. I like not opening against the Giants for the 20th consecutive year on Sunday Night Football - Thursday Night edition...

Instead they just bump that game two week 2, haha.
