Whew, Zhaire at least is going to make some good prospect slip or make the late lottery range super strong.

As a Tech fan, he good.

Not sure he really fits here because we already have Josh Jackson and Davon Reed as 3&D wings, but he’ll make someone happy.

If he’s that good then Reed is highly replaceable

I do think he’ll go in the late lottery. Denver would be a nice fit for him.

Murray
Harris
Zhaire
Millsap
Jokic

Wilson Chandler can screw off lol.

That is a good fit. He helps make up for some of jokics lack of rim protection and jokic can help him by hitting him cutting on O.

He's a big swing type pick. I could see the clips take a shot on him with one of their picks.

I agree somewhat. The only reason I say somewhat is because I think we have bigger needs than a backup SG/SF.

If Zhaire is there at #16 I think that would be a great value pick on its own though. Zhaire is a guy who can play the 2 or 3, he’s going to be a + defender in the NBA, and he’s going to be the most athletic player on the court. I would put him in same class as Russell Westbrook and Donovan Mitchell as pure athletes.

He’s also got a good set shot right now. He can’t really create for himself yet though, which limits him offensively.

Never in my life did I think a lowly 3* recruit would be a one-and-done though. Pretty crazy.

Doncic flopped so bad against Panathinaikos: 10 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 2 turnovers (only 5 shots) in 21 minutes.

Mike James had 24 points, 5 assists and Nick Calathes had 11 points, 16 assists.

There's at least another 2 games between them so Doncic would need a dramatic bounce back to maintain his draft stock.

Right now every european young player with high potential is in the NBA already. Players like Luwawu are in the NBA.

The NBA have now A LOT of more players in the league. Every team have 17 players, in the past they have only 13.

Sooo, there are around 120 more players in the league, and a lot of them are players that could have been playing in Europe if not for this new era in the NBA.

G-League have talented players too that want to stay close to the NBA because they know that they could have an opportunity because of injuries, changes,....so those players are out of the EuroLeague too. The talent's pool in Europe is worst than ever.

Doncic is really good but he is having such a good season because the level of competition is really low in Europe now and Sergio Llul is out for the season.

I like him and I have him #3 in my big board, but I am not "that" impressed by him.

He is really good, but comparing him with Larry Bird or saying that his floor is Ginobili it is too much IMO. Way too much.

Euroleague has never been more competetive and tougher than it is now.. And yes Calathes has had the best season of his life and has a team that suits him well.

If it wasn't for Doncic, Real would have no chance against Pao. And thats the difference. Stats don't do him justice. When he plays Real is a better team, but when he has a good game he is able to win it all by himself..

Abot mike james, he played 8 games in euroleague if I'm not wrong, so it's still Calathes who has been tue main guy for them if you are looking at the whole season

Not even close.

There are not star players in Europe anymore. In the past, EuroLeague teams had GREAT players in their prime, that is not the case anymore.

For example... Barcelona in 2002-03 had this starting five:

Jasikevicius, Navarro, Bodiroga, Fu^cka and Dueñas.

With Femerling, De la Fuente, Varejao and Rodriguez coming from the bench.

At least five players from that roster would have been in the NBA and not in Europe today. No way Bodiroga is not in the NBA in their prime in 2018.

Saberstar, question for you, who should we believe the the scouts like Givony who sees hundreds of games both in the US and Europe and gets paid for his basketball knowledge or you an educated basketball fan? I am sorry but I but I think I am going to go with Givony who calls Doncic the best player in this draft by far.

I would obviously recommend you to believe in Givony.

I agree with him regarding a lot of prospects and I am pretty sure that he knows more about basketball than me. He makes a great job describing and analizing players.

BUT I have my personal opinion about players and I do not agree with him about Doncic.

I think that he is a really good young player but I do not think he is BY FAR the best player in this draft.

He is not an Anthony Davis or LeBron...he has (for example) physical limitations that are gonna make him difficult to be a franchise player in the NBA.

Ayton, Trae, Doncic and Bagley are really close IMO. We can not know for sure who is gonna be the best of them in three years, it is so difficult to evaluate these players because are sooo young entering the NBA.

Question. Could Jrue Holiday do to Trae Young what he's done so far to Dame Lillard in this PO series?

For the record, I don't think Jrue could have locked up prime Steve like this. Steve would have remained efficient and focused on getting open shots for others. Obviously, Steve had more talent in PHX than Lillard currently has in POR...

Of course I understand that non super athletic cant be super star players. To name a few of these non super athletic players that were non franchise player off the top of my head like Steve Nash, John Stockton, and Larry Bird. Heck would we call Draymond Green a non franchise player but I would say that he might be one of the biggest keys to them winning.

The next question is are we expecting our pick to be a franchise player or just an all star or someone who will help us win?

If its a top 2 pick - that guy really needs to be VERY GOOD. All star player, maybe a guy that tries out for the Olympic team. A superstar to team with Booker , maybe better than Jackson

If you guys would have watched the game yesterday you would realize why Doncic had such a bad night. He was faceing one of the most motivated teams I have seen in a while. The have displayed one of the best defensive performances in recent euroleague history. Put that together with the atmosphere in OAKA and you see what happenes. No euroleague team could defeat Pao yesterday.

Mike James went 3-1 in his first four games as Suns point guard I belive

Nobody is off the Doncic train -- not that I saw the game - based on last nights game

I am now like 50.1/49.9 with Doncic and Ayton - one day, Doncic is 50.1, when I see Anthony Davis, Ayton gets the nod

Doncic will be a bust! Mark it down. Someone green font it.

Mario Hezonja will have the same type of career Doncic has!

Ayton
Bagley
Porter
Bamba
Young

That is my top 5 in order.

Only way I would take Doncic is if he was #6-10 and we had another pick!

Return to Phoenix Suns
