Yikes, you should really relax a little. Its the Around the NBA thread, designed for people to talk about other teams in the league. If it bothers you that much, perhaps you should avoid this thread. You seem to be the only one getting upset.

I'm relaxed. I just swear a **** ton. You know this.

People can post about whatever they want, and I can call them insecure. I'm not sure what your issue is.

To reiterate: the people that don't like the amount of hype Philly is getting should perhaps shut the **** up about Philly. Its counterintutive at best; it plays into whatver perceieved media narrative/agenda they think is happening at worst. The "media" has succeded in getting them to discuss Philly endlessly and care about the winner of that series.

On a somewhat different note: its just sad to me to see people cheering for the Heat, a team we should historically hate, just because of "the media hyping Philly" (some conversely seem bothered by them succesfuly tanking). There are many reasons to hate Philly, including our actual historical rivalry with them, lol. I find their reasoning to be petty and questionably timed.

Personally, I want Philly to win because I want to see how Rozier/Brown/Tatum measure up against Simmons/Embiid. Hell, the NBA fan in me loves watching them play cuz theyre fun as hell.

I just think its completely bizarre/funny that ESPN had put out two puff pieces about two dudes who have played about 10 minutes total in a 1-1 series. ****, if anything, they should be hyping Simmons as he’s been amazing. Not bum ass Fultz and an amazingly talented dude with a broken face.

Fultz was so bad in Game 2 that they benched him for f***** TJ McConnell. Dude has sucked in this series (and most of the year).

Yeah, Simmons has justified my hatred for him. I didn't like him before last year's draft because of two very petty reasons:
1) He wanted to be a Laker
2) He has a punch-able face. I don't like his smug look.

Now that he's actually good and playing for a division rival, I have legit reasons to dislike the guy. Great player though. He reminds me of a young Lebron with less shooting ability. His size and passing are elite. We have to pray that he never develops a consistent jumpshot.

So happy for him.

NO up 2-0 after winning twice in Portland.
Odds just skyrocketed that they win Round 1.
I want to see Rondo eat up Chris Paul.

he also got that hustle rebound to save that possession. put the clamps on dame. one more important thing he did, he told AD a piece of his mind when the blaze tied it up late, the game was all pels from there. AD needs a guy like that, someone who will give his all in the playoffs and demand the same from the star player!

Rondo also with 6 TOs last night compared to TRo's 0 TOs through 78 minutes of tournament play. He had the big shots in the clutch, but so did TRo in game 1, when the C's were in a tight game.

Yes, it is fun to see Rondo still able to play, but I take TRo at this point for sure.

wait, what? what did I say about roze? just giving props to RR for a good job. I said nothing about wanting him back, I don't even like RR all that much after the things he said when he left.

Embiid doubtful for Game 3. If he doesn't play, Miami really has to win that game if they want to take the series.

Corporate hype train full steam ahead

Oh my **** god give it a rest.

All of you sound insecure as ****. All of you crying this **** much about Philly and rooting for the god damn Heat of all teams probably means the hype is real. Keep playing yourselves.

We've had pages of this insecure nonsense now. If the Sixers are getting undeserved hype in your opinion maybe you should shut the **** up about them.

Nah. **** Philadelphia.

On another note, at what point are people going to stop calling the Wizards a "disappointment" every year and just accept them for who they are? A decent team that simply doesn't have enough talent. Period.

I don't like Philly because I don't like Philly. Has nothing to do with the "hype." I hate the 76ers. Period. As a matter of fact, I despised them in 2012 even more than I dislike them now. The Sixers could win 25 games every year for the rest of eternity and I would still hate them. And don't even get me started on the Eagles and the Phillies.

Lebron just said "I think we spent so much time trying to figure out who we were in the regular season and getting the right lineups and guys in and out and things of that nature, we could never build for the playoffs. It was kind of like, build for the next game. So the postseason finally hit us and it hit us very well. And I think that can be the best teacher for us to know exactly what we should be ready for tonight."

Already bringing the excuses out Bron Bron?

Geez man, Bron is single handedly on an 11-0 run.

Not to overreact, but he looks as dialed in as I have ever seen him.

It's not an overreaction. He knows the Cavs need this game so he is definitely dialed in. I knew all along he would probably go for 40 tonight. Cavs will probably win this one by 20-30.

So, mistakes Marv has made tonight:

- Indy got called for a charge. Marv goes: "We have a travel...or a shot clock violation...or maybe a charge!" Keep in mind the Pacers basically had a full shot clock at the time of the charge.

- Confused Thaddeus Young for Myles Turner.

- Just said the Pacers took a timeout as the Cavaliers were dribbling the ball up the floor.

Marv, you're a legend, but it's time to hang up the toupee.

I thought they weren’t going to call the deliberate side jump to draw a foul this year? Love just jumped about 2’ to his right to get a 3rd foul on Dipo....

Listening to Marv Albert now is like watching Hakeem Olajuwon when he played for the Toronto Raptors.
