I really like Tatum. Great player. He and Brown are going to be really fantastic for Boston.

Did you also know that Devin Booker is actually a bit younger than Mitchell?

Consistency has always been OKC problem this season.

Donovan had a great 4th qtr, but Favors was the difference maker.

They've actually been better on the road than at home, so there's that.

Oh yeah and Simmons is under .250 from 3ft out in the playoffs and hasn't made a 3 in the season or playoffs. PG13 and Brewer played great perimeter D on him.

And we can't forget about Brandon Ingram, came in so young and looking so good now. Lots of fantastic talent. Honestly could go on for ages talking about other great, young players in this league that are also younger than DM.

My thoughts as well. Favors was outstanding, especially in the first half.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

He’s a Heat fan that’s trolling.

EDIT: I thought you were the other poster that I quoted before.

I’d refrain from feeding into it, altho, regarding Simmons’ shooting, he has shot 2-9 outside of 3 feet.

Had to watch the game on the DVR. My guess is Westbrook is still in the arena bitching.

While I still support Ben Simmons for ROY, Mitchell is a STUD. No doubt.

Melo, on the other hand, is counting the games until his NBA career is over. WOOF.

So are Jazz fans going to have a hard time dealing w/ things if Simmons wins Rookie of the Year? Is this going to be like the 2.0 version of all the Houston fans who are mad about Westbrook winning the MVP last year? Please don’t get like that, guys... It’s just not a good look :/...

I think most Jazz fans don't care and will tell you Simmons should win. Yes, there are always the fanatics, but overall it's not a big deal. I think the thing that gets us riled up is when people act like he shouldn't be in the conversation. He absolutely has an argument, he won't win the argument, but he has one.

Pretty much. If I had a vote I'd give it to Simmons, but it's totally insulting to say Mitchell isn't deserving of some votes. That final shot he made was something that many veterans couldn't do (not in terms of just difficulty, but in terms of difficulty plus clutchness).

OKC didn't challenge Gobert much.

OKC settles for jump shots. Alot easier to not foul a jump shooter then someone driving to the basket. Those teams that attack the rim always get more calls because their is always contact. Refs had a rough game both ways, but the reason OKC lost was not them it was their shot selection and the fact they weren't hitting that selection at a high rate.

OKC played good defense just not much of an offensive game plan.

He was actually pretty calm in the postgame. Didn’t seem as upset as I thought he would be. Usually when he acts that way the loss was more of a teammate/team issue than it was his own personal fault. He gets a lot more nasty/stand-offish when it’s primarily his fault that they lost - last years playoffs he was really bad.

Yup. Donovan was told to be more aggressive when he was 0-7 behind the arc, and he got his 13 in the 4th attacking. He struggled from outside, but he's not bone headed, he makes adjustments. In the end he is a rookie, so he's going to have his struggles and make mistakes. In the end he's averaging 27.5ppg on 23.5FGA against great defenders, and struggling behind the arc, so it's not so bad for a 21yr old rookie. Don't look now, but he is the leading scorer this series:

Donovan - 27.5
PG - 27
WB - 24

Did you actually watch the game? The Jazz are the best defensive team in the NBA, no team is harder to score inside. I don't think I counted a dunk by WB/George/Melo in the entire game.
