I saw earlier Shelbourne had said they listed him as doubtful. But I believe i remember him playing a couple times this year when he had been listed as doubtful.

Whenever anyone makes these kinds of claims I reject them because I don’t believe that Brett Brown would lie about this. He would have to be deliberately lying to the media, and I don’t believe he would do that.

Coaching is a chess match. There is no reason to tell the Heat he's playing or not. Let the Heat have to spend time game planning for him. Less time to game plan against everyone else.
The Sixers know damn well right now if Joel is playing in 24 hours. They are purposely not telling the media(or the Heat) to gain a strategic advantage. C'mon now son! This is coaching 101 !

There's some wiggle room in the term "doubtful" to find a gray area. Especially in the playoffs.

I’m not talking about how he was listed. Have you watched the Brett brown press conferences this week? He has been giving long form interviews all week. If he knew when Embiid was going to play he was lying through his teeth and I think it is far more likely that he was telling the truth than not.

Brett has earned the credibility to be believed.

My bad I kinda just picked that up mid way thru. I'm just talking general gamemanship. I don't condone lying in every day life, idk exactly what Brett has said. But misleading an opponent is fair game imo. It's to be expected as part of the competition.

I think 1 of the mods confirmed something. Idk how that procedure works. He really only posts about Embiid's status though and it's not like he's seeking attention with it.

Yup. The poster seems legit. Fl311

He said embiid was having surgery Saturday March 31 before it was even confirmed by media outlets that afternoon.

He said embiid was gonna to miss games for the first round before the sixers even confirmed.

Not sure exactly how it works or what they have to divest, just read on twitter that update has to be given by then.
