I have no doubt he can be a 21/7/3 on solid efficiency as soon as next year with a healthy off-season. I think he clearly has a chance to be a special offensive player.
But man I have no clue what he's been doing lately. Even before the playoffs he did some interview and he basically kept saying them and I, when talking about the team. It was so obvious he didn't feel apart of the team and reading the article it sounded like a dude talking about his former team, not his current team.
Then the playoffs start and in the really close game 1. it was very obvious to me that whenever the Bucks made a big play and they would show the bench celebrating, there was Jabari sitting on the bench with no emotion. Then game 2 was as bad of a showing of effort I have seen in a playoff game since Rondo in Dallas.
I get he wants a fresh start, but man he is handling this as poorly as anyone could handle it and has blown any small chance he had at a sizeable contract this summer.
Well said. This sums everything up perfectly.
The thing is, I’m not sure who’s going to give him that big payday he wants? The injuries and now the attitude and effort are bad enough but now that defensive analytics exist, every GM in the league knows how terrible he is on defense.
What is there about the Jabari package that would entice any GM of to take a $100 million chance on him? He needs a dumb, desperate GM with cap space.

Ya he's not getting that contract. But the thing was, he was pretty damn hot offensively going into the playoffs. Over the last week and a half of the season he was averaging 19/8/2 on 49/46/74 shooting over the last 6 games and again his offensive stats overall on this season were pretty damn good for considering his situation.
I mean if he could've kept that play up, there was a pretty solid chance a team might have been willing to drop say 4/72 on him, thinking if we make him our #1 scoring guy and pair him up with a good defensive center, this could work and is worth the risk.
But he killed all that momentum and teams are going to see this guy that pouts and quits on his team come playoff time if he doesn't get touches, add that to his defense and injury history, it's not worth the risk. Now let's say he gets offers say 4/32, you really think the Bucks are going to not match an offer like that? That would be dumb not to even if they don't want him in their future plans. They'd keep him cause it's better to let him walk for nothing and with a cap friendly deal like that, all he needs to go is have a hot month and they can trade him.
By quiting on the Bucks because he wants out so much, he has actually made it harder for himself to actually find a way to leave this summer.
