Same, I also think we've done really well against them defensively this year(and on both Simmons and Embiid). Wouldn't mind them in the 2nd round at all, I don't believe the hype yet. They are being carried by role players.
Good assessment:

There were reports that Ainge actually asked Stevens if he would coach Cousins last year before the Kings traded him to the Pelicans, and Stevens rejected the idea. That was why we didn't even really make a real play for him.

I'm not arguing with you at all, but are there legitimate reports stating that really happened? I remember hearing the same thing at the time I just don't remember if they were "take with a grain of salt" takes or if they were reported from an actual reputable and legitimate source.....

A) I would be really surprised if Brad had that strong of feelings about not coaching him and
B) Even if he did, Brad doesn't seem to be the type of guy to either back away from a challenge or let his own personal feelings about a particular player get in the way of the job especially when it involves a great talent like Cousins.

Well, put it this way: the Celtics absolutely, positively could have beaten the package the Pelicans gave the Kings for Cousins without even surrendering that many assets. The fact that Ainge didn't even seem to make an effort to acquire Cousins validates those reports.

Of course, we'll never know for sure what really happened, but those reports seem pretty realistic given what transpired.

I totally agree with you. But I also think we could beat the package of most of the recent trades that have taken place. Jimmy Butler, PG13, etc.

I actually like it. More competition. Kinda bored with this friendly player stuff.

Nobody in the East is consistent. The Pacers look mediocre again.

pacers look bad, they should have turned their phones off during the home stand so they wouldnt get all the calls for tickets and other nonsense I'm sure they have been getting while in Indy. Oladipo looks horrible out there, he has let the ball slip out twice on 3pt attempts with no defender close enough to make him let go of it. ugly.

Bron is still Bron.

Team around him is very beatable. Hence the Pacers blowing out Game 1 with him getting a triple double and going down to the wire in Game 2 in one of Lebron's greatest Playoff performances while Oladipo played like ****. This is just about the Pacer's mediocrity tonight.

Like I always said.. Bron is good enough to beat most teams single handedly in a playoff series. Indy is one of them.

He isn't beating Toronto, a healthy Boston, Philly, or anyone in the West outside of maybe Minnesota, San Antonio, and Portland single-handedly

oladipo is not handling being doubled well at all but his teammates are extra dumb because they aren't helping him out when they do it. when he does pass out of the trap the other guys are playing 1vs1 and shooting horrible shots. I honestly believe Lance is already wearing LBJ down but that may not matter until round 2 when he plays raps/wiz. I know LBJ is still LBJ and is going to score but it looks like he is already tired and this is only game 3 of rnd 1!

The Toronto-Cleveland series should be mighty compelling. Everything riding on it for both teams. Neither can lose, but one will. And this is one series I would not want to wager on. No way.

LeBron can go off at any time but tell me he doesn't look exhausted out there. Just imagine if they get to round 2, either the RAPS or wiz are going to run them for days, never know who will win a series but if LBJ does it, he's going to have to drag himself to the ECF on fumes.

travesty. 3 calls in a row for lBj and only 1 was right with the other 2 not close. the foul on sabonis under the basket was not even close to a foul against clarkson. my gosh.
