Best Post-Draft Trade For Kevin Love

Post#1 » by NYG » Sat Apr 21, 2018 11:28 pm

I don’t think the Cavs would trade Kevin Love unless they knew LeBron was leaving. I don’t think they will know LeBron’s decision on draft night. So let’s say LeBron signs in Philly for example, what would be the best package the Cavs could get for Love without including 2018 draft picks?

If the Cavs lose in the first round, they'll know.

Which prospects would you need to trade Love?

I'd take back the best prospect pick I could get at that point. Obviously the contract coming back would matter as well.

Would the following make sense:

2021 Heat 1st, Tyson Chandler and (choice of Bender or Chriss)

They could keep Bender and Chriss as far as I'm concerned but I'd need one of those mid picks this year and the Bucks pick instead of the Heat pick. When you look at the contracts on the Heat's books, that team will look very different in the 2020-21 season.

So Chandler, draft rights to whoever Suns drafted at 16 and Bucks ‘19 1st?

Malik Monk or Zach Collins do anything for you?

I'd trade 11 + Howard for Love before I traded Monk + Howard
investigate Adam Silver

So if you weren’t including an ‘18 pick, what is the worst prospect that could center piece a Love deal?

Would Cleveland take the risk/reward of a Jabari Parker for Kevin Love sign and trade?

There probably aren't any that would be made available. If we're being realistic about the situation, *good* prospects are rarely put on the market and disappointing prospects aren't worth giving up value for.

How would you take a Jabari sign and trade for Kevin Love?

Nope. But I'd take Brogdon and dead weight contracts.

here is one

Cleveland gets Milwaukee first round (#17), Tim Hardaway, John Henson, Brandon Ingram

Lakers gets New York first round pick, Kevin Love. Malcolm Brogdon

Milwaukee gets Kyle Korver, Kyle Kuzma, Joakim Noah, #55 from cleveland

New York gets: Cleveland first round pick via Cleveland (#25), Khris Middleton, Josh Hart, Luol Deng

Cleveland improves perimeter and my opinion improves center at #17 there alot of fascinating prospect, Zhaire Smith, Anfernee Simons, Robert Williams. but it would draft Jontay Porter

Lakers get there first star in Love, Brogdon to me is ideal compliment for Ball, at # 9 there are ton great players I like Lonnie Walker or Mikail Bridges, then you call Paul George and have a serious conservation you also offer the max to Clint capela

Milwaukee doesnt resign Parker, I love pairing Kuzma and Greek Freek.

New York gets a prospective second star, I love Josh Hart and willing to deal with Luol deng

I wouldn't really care about how it looked, I'd care about rebuilding pieces. I imagine the Celtics would want to send Horford out and they'd probably have to find a third team for him. A team entering a rebuild wouldn't value him at all. Frankly, there's a good chance you'd be trading for a locker room problem.
