Bedard needs some love!!

Post#1 » by treyZz » Sun Aug 5, 2007 10:05 pm

What a freaking tank.. He has won 8 in a row on a terrible team.

Today's line:
6.2ip - 9 hits - 3 ER - 11 K's - 0 BB

On the season:
12-4 - 3.09 ERA; 192 K's to 48 walks.

Just how good is this guy?

Bedard needs to go deeper into games. That's my only complaint about him. Regardless, he's the second best lefty in the game behind Santana.

I'd probably take Mark Buehrle over Bedard as well as CC over Bedard.

I wouldn't. Bedard is more dominant and scares me much more, I love watching the guy but hate that I only get to do so when he's facing my Yanks. Other than Santana, no lefty scares me more in all of baseball.

I dont know man, I love the fact Bedrad is a monsterous strikeout pitcher but Buerhle, I love his stuff so much especially his wicked change. He's a horse who works fast and has pinpoint control. I just loved watching him pitch since that game against the angels in the 05 post season.

CC I just love his entire presence on the mound aside of his abilities.

Buerhle is the third best lefty in baseball, IMO. And if I had a choice between the two, I'd probably take Buerhle because that guy can eat tons of innings, and that's what my team needs..

Bedard is easily better than Buehrle. Buehlre isn't even a top 5 lefty in the game. I'd take Cole Hamels and CC over Buehrle without question too.

Bedard has been the most dominant starter in the entire game this year.

Bedard has been a monster, and he plays in a bandbox of a stadium, as well. He really should be getting as much attention as Santana and Webb have been getting since the ASB.

He would probably have around 14-15 wins right now, he went through a stretch where he had 5 no decisions. He's going to be really expensive to re-sign so I'm hoping Angelos and company don't lowball him.

Bedard has been arguably the most dominant pitcher in the AL this year, but everyone knows he'll get jipped in the Cy Young voting. Baltimore stinks and the voters are clueless morons who will overlook him. Just the way it is, unfortunately. He'd get my vote, though.

12th round pick in my fantasy league. Maybe the best pick of the year for me.
