2018-2019 lineup yes. Not quite sold on banner 18 just yet.

Brown does have the making of a Jimmy Butler/Kawhi type. I dunno these are just super hard choices. I dunno what Danny's going to do but I trust his decisions. WHatever he decides, I agree.
Good assessment:

Can’t dribble, can’t shoot, can’t pass, low b-ball IQ and still doing what he does at age 21. Kid is gonna be great

AD or Kawhi are the only players that should be considered when trading this kid away. Same goes for Tatum. Kyrie/Jaylen/Hayward/Tatum for the next 5+ years is the way to go. Everyone else is expendable.

I feel he will be valuable off the court too with his looking like being involved in the Players Union, etc. I can see him being an asset in recruiting players to come to Boston to play with him and this needs to be considered when valuing him in future trades also.
This is hardly even fair, the rest of the league is playing checkers and Danny Ainge is playing 12-dimensional chess.

kawhi, boogie, ad, lebron, lavar ball off the bench. Yeah right

Was a joke man... Tho, I thought this was in the Kawhi rumor thread where it would have made more sense... whooops.

We all know AD won’t be available, there isn’t anyone I would trade Jaylen for.

Brown, I have been iffy on.

But, his handle is better, IQ is better, jumpshot is real. And he is physical. Star in the making IMO.

Brown's game has come a long way. Developing a lot faster than I thought and as the #1 scoring threat. Great sign of things to come.

I remember when he got drafted... It was pretty embarrassing on this board alone but everywhere too. I know I was wrong too for putting a few guys ahead of him; he's done a great job of proving a lot of people wrong. There's still some silly Jeff Green commentary from time to time but that's about it now. Most people like what they're seeing from JB.

Banners called all of this too. It was one of the few times I saw him be unabashededly positive. A shame he's not around anymore, lol.

FWIW, I always found the Jeff Green comparisons to be asinine. They are both dark skinned brothers of similar heights who are athletic and have last names that are colors but beyond that there are almost no similarities in their game.

A lot of that comes due to these idiotic quotes by guys like Draper. 90% of the people who boo'd never really saw Jaylen play, so they form their opinions based on the information passed by these idiots.

iirc a lottttt of people wanted Ainge to trade the pick for Jimmy Butler at the team and you can even hear one fan scream saying he wants Jimmy in the video. So they were obviously disappointed but still it’s embarrassing to boo a kid you just drafted high in the lottery.

Brown picked the wrong coach to play for in college. He isn't the 1st to make the wrong decision and he won't be the last. As an Oregon fan, I watched a ton of Pac-12 basketball during that time. Cal had a way too much talent to be an average team. Jabari Bird, Jaylen Brown, Ivan Rabb. None of them benefited playing at Cal during that time.

I wish we could follow around some of these coaches to see how charismatic they are on the recruiting trail. Some of them simply can't coach, but they continually land top talents year after year. Conzo Martin at Cal (now Missouri), and Lorenzo Romar (former Wash coach) were two that I would love to get an inside look at. Romar landed top tier talents year after year, and underachieved year after year.
