That's not a problem as DeAndre is also a FA and expecting 15-18 mil per. So, you will have options.

I doubt the Knicks organization feels the same way about LeBron James.

we want to rebuild. we aren't going for any quick fixes. paul george is not coming here. knicks arent trading kp for kawhi. lebron will never come to new york because he's a pussy and we don't want him either. deandre jordan is not that good either and will not come here

Kawhi and LeBron isn't a quick fix. That's a title contender and one who can win a title. A quick fix for NY is the usually overpay for a Stephon Marbury level player or someone with no impact and go from there. Trade multiple future 1sts for Eddy Curry. This is more like the Big 3 in Boston. Where you take elite players around sound role players to build a title contender for a three to four-year window.

if the spurs trade kawhi then that means he's damaged goods and his injury is worse than KP's acl tear. no thanks. i highly doubt the spurs are going to trade a healthy kawhi for a injured KP. and when the spurs do trades, they usually win them.

knicks aren't going anywhere with kanter as our starting center. he's the worst rim protector in the league. majority of knicks fans dont want him back. he is not even close to being mandatory for us like you said

frank still has not developed into anything. he's a major question mark. he can easily stay at the poor mans patrick beverely level he is right now or improve to a jrue holiday type player. so we dont know

we also don't know who is our head coach. we can easily hire mark jackson which can ruin everything

so at the end of the day we will still lose. i don't see this team standing a chance against golden state. too much question marks and kanter is not a player who can start on a contender. we will rather rebuild instead of going for these quick fixes

How would you feel about a Courtney Lee for MKG deal?

Have we discussed Gallo for Hardaway yet?

Because that would clear up a lot. Saves a year of salary and cuts into our forward needs so we can punt on that position in the draft if there's a guy we like better or put less immediate pressure on whoever we pick. Clippers might consider it because they're forward heavy and don't have their pick next year. They need healthy bodies.

We'd need additional moves but on its face I'd do it.

I'm for it because I feel Batum is not movable with his contract, and this trade allows Batum to move back to SF and hopefully rebuild some value

Knicks send - Lee, 9th pick, THJR

Portland sends - CJ McCollum

Is this something you think either team would consider

portland would be dumb to do that.

i'd consider it for the knicks depending on who's there at 9. mccollum will be 27 next season. knicks are in the rebuild mode, which means they want guys in early 20s, so he doesn't fit the mold. i like him, and he'd be a great complement to KP, frank, etc. but it doesn't make sense for NY.

i'm hoping mikal is there at 9. i like him.

i don't think clippers would do that move without some sort of compensation, like draft picks.

Yes, but that doesn't mean his past shouldn't play a factor

I don't see the point in this trade. I suppose we get younger, but our shooting woes get magnified.

Not that I hate the idea of it, but I would try and see what Lee could net from other teams first.

I just don't think Lee, frank, or Timmy can play SF. Feel like there's a gap there. And that's a lateral move salary and contract wise.

Yes, of Lee can get you a draft pick, that should be prioritized. But I don't think too many are looking for him, although there are a handful of teams that could use a good defensive and 3 point shooting vet.

Max contract, highly inefficient and, although his defense has improved from last year, he’s still an extremely poor defender.

Is Isiah Thomas creating accounts on here again? Cut it out Isiah, or you'll get banned again.

I proposed this trade not to long ago.
THJ + 9th
Galo + 12th/13th

Grab Miles Bridges and Smith or even Sexton/Knox
Trade Lee for a second rd.
Let Kanter go but resign K.O
Grab Devonte Graham with our sec rd.
If we could get a player like Nerlins Noel for cheap than role with it
If Beasley comes cheap than I don't mind having him back

Frank/Burke/Graham
Smith/Dotson
Bridges/Thomas/T.Will
Galo/Beasley/Hicks
Noel/K.O/Kormet (KP)

That would be my dream come true. Great defensive team with a lot of athleticism. Youth movement in place!

Return to New York Knicks
