Love it...I've always liked Prigioni.

He was a 35yr old rookie playing in the media capital of the world and yet routinely was a positive impact on the court. Everyone knew he wouldn't beat the opposition with foot speed, but he used his BBIQ to outwit teams. Hopefully he can impart a lot of wisdom to DLo.

Prigioni brings a lot of international experience from his pre-NBA days. It continues the international tenor of hirings under Markinson.

Excellent hiring, having a pro like Prigioni on board will do wonders for Russell and LeVert.

Splitter sounds like a big man coach/scout

Spoiler:
Did they have a big man coach last year?

Pablo was a great move. He will make D'angelo the player he truly is.

He played in the NBA when he was 35 years old. i'd bet you'd be the type to say that Arvydas Sabonis sucked too, right?

Let's call it what it is - Pablo Prigioni was brought to the Nets to determine who's the best PG for the Nets moving forward:

Dinwiddie, LeVert, Russell

My prediction: Dinwiddie get traded on draft night for the Nets to move up or into the future & Russell gets traded at the deadline to Phoenix for their 2019 1st

To be fair, when he turned down the Knicks assistant coach gig, it was for a head coach position in Europe.

But he sucked as a coach and couldn't hack it in the Europe. He stepped down after only 3 weeks, with 2 wins and 6 losses. After being humbled by that setback, he seems more willing to accept an assistant gig in the NBA now.

Hopefully, he will do better with a more limited coaching role on the Nets under Atkinson, instead of flaming out as a coach the way he did in Europe. The workload as an assistant will be lighter and different. He should do better with more limited coaching responsibilities.

Lol this was pretty random I think but cool. Prigs and Tiago has good IQ and played smart in their careers. What ever happened to that Nets shooting coach that we hired a couple years ago? i think Billy King hired him but I remember the team did shoot better after he came along.

Two clearly Spursian moves.

Wow, Prigioni shot 46%3pt and 92%ft for a year, that's pretty good, he can be coaching shooting?

Splitter could pass on whatever Duncan taught him as a rookie, that's very nice to have, for Jar and possibly Jah.

I kind of think that's a stretch...the team and staff are clearly capable of figuring out who's the best PG for the team. Most likely he's here to help develop them.

Then again, he comes here with no bias, which the current Nets staff likely has let seep in simply by human nature.

He's a fresh set of eyes with no personal attachment to any of these guys, it would probably be easier for him to give cold, statistical based strategic opinions.
