The play by play guy on sixers heat keeps referring to offensive rating as net rating :-? Appreciate the producers trying to move in this direction, though.

You are seriously overestimating the Warriors without Curry. I've said before in this thread, beating up on the Spurs is not an indicator of much given their only other creator besides LMA is a 41 year old.

Warriors are still the favorite but AD God-mode with his cast clicking so well around him has a non-insignificant chance.

AD isn't anywhere close to "god mode". He's got a 5.0 BPM so far in the playoffs. The warriors will be fine letting him score 40+. And trust me I don't think the warriors are all that great without Curry.

AD might only have 5.0 BPM but luckily the best player on the team Nikola Mirotic can drop that 9+ BPM to carry him.

Hopefully Jrue Holiday can fix his horrible defense as evident by the negative 0.8 BPM.

BPM might be the most garbage stat from the whole family, even worse than VORP.

33/12 on 65% TS with 2 steals and 3 blocks per game, that's god mode for me.

How is BPM worse or better than VORP? And no AD's inability to create for others is why he isn't in god mode.

That and the fact that he has 1/3rd the defensive impact that Mirotic does as BPM tells us

That splitting BPM reduces the value of it and shouldn't be discussed as you're doing? Know your stats THEN discuss them.

I don't need to know a statistic that tells me that Nikola Mirotic has been nearly twice as good as Anthony Davis.

Why do people make claims like this? Is math this hard to understand?

Nah, I don't see a Curry-less Warriors dispatching the Hornets so easily. In fact, I think they're in trouble without Curry. I'll actually go ahead and say Pelicans beat them in a series if Curry is out.

Warriors just aren't that good without Curry, they're beating up on a Spurs team that is the very definition of pretender, and has no real firepower outside of Aldridge. They're still depending on a 40 year old Manu for crying out loud.

Anyone else in the 3-8 range would have given the Warriors serious trouble in the 1st round.

They’re also not really beating them up. Almost all of these games have been closer than they should be, and as we speak SA is on a 4th Q scoring run to pull within 6.

For anyone whos just a general fan, what was your tipping point? I think OKC has me there.

I haven't enjoyed this season at all, its been zero fun to watch their games and I rather others a lot more. Still like Russ but that team is miserable and I just want good ball.

The Bulls trading Luol Deng for cap space.

I loved that dude. He gave his heart and souls to the team, was my favorite player, and his “dirty work” attitude fit the city and team aesthetic so well. The team just dumped him after he basically gave his body and the best years of his career trying to push himself way too hard and playing through injury to bring them a title.

I realized then it wasn’t worth the emotional pain I got from the ECF loss and the Rose injury to support a faceless and rather cruel organization that did not care about me or its players a lick.

As a Laker fan the petulant behavior of Shaq & Kobe, along with being surrounded by Angeleno Laker homers, made it impossible for me to savor their success.

They could barely even get the ball to Durant on some of these possessions. This 4Q has been an absolute embarrassment. They are not good.

Wow.

Thought this was the OT thread, but thanks.

Thats about where I am, after this one think I'm dropping the old flair.

Makes some sense too. I'm just wanting to enjoy the NBA again, this season was just so unpleasant to watch in so many ways and I want to enjoy the good stuff. Still like the stories but not where I am too emotionally involved to enjoy

I’ve been there with the Nets over the last few years, but tbh, their team this year was full of likeable dudes that just happened to suck. I could root for them any day over the likes of Deron Williams and Joe Johnson.

But I’ll be honest, when they’re good again with players that are enjoyable to watch, I’ll be back lol.
