Soriano out 2-4 weeks

too bad for him, good for us... now that the injury bug is being spread out a bit more evenly in this race, hopefully, we'll be able to pad a bit of a lead while he's out....

I don't like injuries to anyone, I guess this evens things out a little bit for losing Sheets. I like Soriano though.

As much as I hate the Cubs I hate seeing injuries to a player. I want a good competitive division race from the Cubs and Brewers.

i dont ever like injuries either but for it to be truly even from an injury standpoint zambrano would have to be out for the next 4-6 weeks to make up for sheets. soriano just makes up for bill halls DL stint along with rickie weeks continued bad play due to his injured wrist

Party all you want. But you see, you guys actually have to win games for this injury to have any sort of relevance.

And the way things are looking in Denver right now, it's giving merit to my belief that the Brewers are in too big of a funk to make anything out of Soriano's injury.

Keep partying though. Might as well start now since you won't be doing anything in October.

Soriano is a big loss, but not as big as Sheets. Sheets going down has just killed the Brewers bullpen. Then again, after watching Floyd swing the bat tonight it could end up getting real ugly in the OF for the Cubs.

And like I've said in the past, at least the Cubs have put themselves in an opportunity to choke. The only time the Brewers had the chance they took full advantage of it, they were up 3-2 against St. Louis in '82? But go ahead, keep celebrating the 25th anniversary of a World Series loss.

And wha are you celebrating? The 99th anniversary of ineptitude? I love the fact that you're attempting to argue that one team choking miserably in the playoffs is better than a team not making the playoffs. When all is set and done, WE'RE BOTH LOSERS! So STFU and learn some common sense.

And honestly, you are the reason why I despise most Cubs fans. There are some that I genuinely respect...like Posey H8er and SportsWorld, but when you begin to troll on this board after a Brewers loss, spewing nonsense and trying to make nonsensical comparisons between the frustrations of two historically inept franchises, you make yourself look like an ass.

As a Cub fan I have learned what matters most is THIS YEAR and THIS YEAR only.

Yes the Cubs have had ups and downs, and have had some success, but in the end we're just as much of a loser as the Brewers who have no world series titles and barely any playoff appearances.

This year being the only succesful season the Brewers have had in what... 15 years? You guys should have learned this lesson THIS YEAR.

The past means nothing, and that goes out to the rest of the Cub fans posting on this board.

You can tell me 1908 all you want, but at this point, it meaningless. THIS YEAR is what matters.

...and as it stand right now Cub fans are looking up at the Brewers, so coming here and trash talking doesn't make any sense.

Hopefully we can get our star players back and then have a pure division race for the last few weeks.

The Brewers are actually my second favorite team. I live in Milwaukee. I just like talking trash from time to time. I expect to get slammed on this board, though. But ultimately I guess I'm saying that you know your team is really searching for something to cling to when it celebrates the anniversary of a World Series loss. I have my 1982 Brewers World Series pennant hanging up in my house. It's hanging a few feet away from a picture of Ernie Banks, Walter Payton, and a picture my mom drew of Wrigley Field.
In other words, I just like getting under a few Brewers fans skin from time to time. I guess it worked.
