Can’t wait. This year I may miss the first 5 picks though. Hoping to leave work at 6pm to make it on time to watch the start of it. I’m definitely going to miss day two, and also rounds 6 and 7 on Saturday. New job... sh8tty schedule.

NFL Draft Notes - April 24

http://draftanalyst.com/nfl-draft-notes-april-24

* In that recent mock, I have the San Francisco 49ers trading down with the Buffalo Bills and selecting Leighton Vander Esch. This won’t be the case if Tremaine Edmunds is available when the Niners are called to the clock, as he is the player the team covets.

-----------------

* More than a decade ago, I reported on the New York Jets flying out to an airport in Pittsburgh to get a last-minute face-to-face meeting with a player -- it was Darrelle Revis. These days teams don’t need to go to those extremes. I’m told teams who have been unable to bring desired prospects to their facilities for official visits are turning to FaceTime to interview players “face-to-face.” I know of at least a dozen teams who bypassed the official visit route to FaceTime players they could select over the seven rounds of the draft.

Mike Mayock's 2018 NFL mock draft: Bills trade up for Josh Allen

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000928583/article/mike-mayocks-2018-nfl-mock-draft-bills-trade-up-for-josh-allen

As I've said a million times I'm one of the only draft guys that doesn't love passing along mock drafts to others but because Mayock is one of the most accurate mock draft guys (he does one per year) over the past several years combined according to the studies, I'll give him some support and post his.

Now talk of Sony Michel having a bone on bone knee condition. I guess this is good in the sense we can get him later in the draft. : )

Earlier in the week, we disclosed some teams that have injury and off-the-field concerns with prospects. Two other players who sources have mentioned in the past couple of days as also coming up with medical redflags are Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander and Mississippi State offensive tackle Martinas Rankin. The problem they see with Alexander is relating to his knee. A knee injury caused him to miss multiple games last season. Sources did not describe the nature of Rankin's injury. If Alexander slides in the first round or Rankin slides on Friday night, any drop could be injury related.

Baker Mayfield - QB - Sooners

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora said that the Cleveland Browns selecting Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield with the first pick "wouldn't surprise me at all."

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein tweeted earlier on Thursday that Mayfield-to-Cleveland "is happening" later tonight, a sentiment that was echoed in the updated mock drafts of ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and fellow NFL Media colleague Daniel Jeremiah. Now, La Canfora does say that he does not believe that Mayfield will ultimately be the pick for Cleveland. At this juncture, though, there's heavy indication that he'll be the young man to attempt to turn around the moribund franchise.

1.) You can't call Ragnow an under-the-radar candidate for the Patriots. At least not accurately you can't.

2.) :nonono:
