?

For most of the 4th quarter, he played our "death lineup": Wall, Beal, Oubre, Porter, Gortat.

The only exception was in the first 2 minutes when it was still mostly the bench (understandable). Then from 10 minutes to 8 minutes he kept Lawson on the floor instead of subbing Porter in for him. So that's two minutes of stupidity, I'll grant you that. From 8 minutes on, he basically played our death lineup as much as he could. With 4:46 to go, he brought in Morris for Oubre at a time when Oubre had already logged 12 straight minutes and needed a blow. He got Oubre right back in at the 2:58 mark, replacing Gortat who had already logged 11 straight minutes. Other than waiting 2 minutes too long to get Porter in, I don't really see why one would complain about the rotations in the 4th.

(I say this with the caveat that it's probably unreasonable to expect Brooks to sit All-Star SG Bradley Beal in crunch time, even though in reality, he should.)

Timeout, he played “the death lineup” for 3 minutes. The garbage time does NOT count. Don’t twist it. They lost the game when Morris came back in (against small ball Toronto lineup)

He went to the Scott/Morris frontcourt in the 3rd for NO REASON, after Mahinmi played well in the first half. He didn’t play Satoransky in the 2nd half, elected to play Lawson for way too long.

The lineups were AWFUL, Porter didn’t play enough. They played small for 3 minutes, don’t twist is nate

For once I would say go to bullets forever because most people there think the lineups were horrible.

Scott Brooks is not a good coach.

He is the main reason the Wizards lost yesterday.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I haven't read the thread yet but I cannot stand when people don't learn from their mistakes. Brooks never learned from game 7 in Boston. You cannot play Wall the entire half. We have 5 PGs on the roster and Wall still can't get a breather.

I don't know if that's the sole reason we lost the game but it's definitely a major factor. Beal or Otto not stepping up once Wall wore down was another factor.

This game was frustrating because we played with enough energy and effort to win and usually that's the biggest issue with this team. They matched Toronto's energy and had them reeling a bit. This is probably the most disappointing playoff loss in recent memory b/c we truly let it get away.

The worst thing that could have happened was Wall playing the entire 2nd half against Toronto in Game 4 and the Wiz coming back for the win. I assumed he was going to sit at the beginning of the fourth and then come in with about 8 minutes left. But Brooks just can't help himself. DeRozan and Lowry played under 40 minutes. Beal did get enough rest. He just gagged like he normally does in the fourth quarter.

Yeah I mistyped it (was using voice dictation). My bad. 54% is ok but not great. Especially when you consider that he had 7 turnovers. Overall he had a good game. I would say that Lowry outplayed him. TS% of 61, 10 assists, 1 turnover. I guess Wall had 9 rebounds and 3 blocks but Lowry also had a couple more steals.

Lowry definitely had a better game than Wall. I'd say Wall has the edge over the whole series this far, but its tight.

This is gonna be another Celtics round 2 series, you watch. Sparks will fly again at home in Game 6, they'll destroy us in Game 7.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Remember, they didn’t destroy us in game 7, we were in complete control late 3rd, then Brooks subbed in Jason Smith at PF and the Celtics went at him over and over and went on a 13-3 run (hit back to back to back 3s on Jason Smith) and took a commanding 10pt lead going into the 4th quarter. Kelly Olynyk also turned into god lol

But yeah, we aren’t winning a game 7, we are gonna have to battle to win tonight
