It was a big reach, no? Did they just get too cute and clever again with their top pick?

Hard to say. I think he was a projected 2nd round pick. Picking this late in the 1st & no 2nd. But, the pick makes a ton of sense. I need to read up more on him, but I don't hate it.

My best guy had him projected as the 59th pick, like the 6th back taken. They obviously couldn't trade back into the 2nd round and pick up another pick, so they were forced to pick their favorite back earlier. The thing is, however, it's a pick that could make them look bad if this guy doesn't become a stud #1 running back. You don't pick a RB in the first round if he's not intended to be.

That's all.

If you think he's the best RB out of the bunch, you take him. You can't worry about projected mocks. Kamara would easily be taken in the top 10 (if redrafted). Sure trade down again. But, if he's your guy there, you take him.

No, I get what you're saying. I'm just saying that if he's not a total stud #1 running back for years, then it was a bad pick. Period.

Having said that, I will be excited to see him play. :D

Not a huge fan of the #9 value of McGlinchey, but I think he'll be a solid pro. Knew McGlinchey and Miller would be reached for based on latest reports and given that the class isn't very strong, kinda surprised that the 49ers were one of those teams.

I thought before the Draft whoever gets Barkley and Bradley Chubb are the top draft winners at least from Round 1. So I say Giants and Broncos are the top draft winners. I don't think any of the teams did bad with their pick so everybody else did ok or good. Giants and Broncos GREAT.

I loved the Fitzpatrick pick. I don't understand why Dolphin fans want a QB over an elite defensive prospect when the defense sucks.

Really interested to see how Jackson turns out, he has some special running instincts.

While I think Josh is the best pure QB, if they can improve Lamar's throwing mechanics he can really become something rare the league might not have seen yet. Personally I think he's an even better runner than Vick was and Watson is athletic but not like LJ, but Watson at this point is obviously more technically sound. Definitely the most intriguing prospect imo.
