He'd **** on DeMar after a 40-10-10 game. It's his go-to move.

Seriously?

Beal was incredible tonight. And Wall was great all series.

Other than the last two 4th quarters, I though Washington as a team played well above their record.

The reason the Washington Wizards record was so poor is they play 4th quarters like that routinely.

Bradley Beal shoots a horrible percentage in the 4th quarter. If they ever publish crunch-time statistics you will see John Wall turns the ball over and shoots very poorly in the fourth quarter, also.
He is horrible in half court.

The all stars of Washington are legends in their own minds.

Worse is that their coach is a mental midget.

All true....except that much of the reason for the poor record is that Wall was out.

As for why they struggle in the 4th, I think the Raptors provide the answer. You can't just have two guys who want to take over down the stretch. You need other guys that those guys trust with the ball. And you need to give them the ball. Otherwise you become much easier to defend.
The absurd mystery of the strange forces of existence.

Don't get a new coach. Coaching stability is part of the reason Raptors are where they are. The more secure your head coach, the more willing he is to delegate and use his assistants.

The four most important quarters of the series

1. Game 6, 4th quarter (TOR 29-WAS 14): The Raptors enter the quarter down by 5 on the road and win the game by 10 and the series. The bench with VanVleet back finally shows its muscle and gives the team arguably its best defensive quarter of the series, while Lowry is brilliant when he comes back in to finish this off.

2. Game 5, 4th quarter (TOR 29-WAS 20): The Raptors lead by 1 going into the 4th and at one point fall behind 87-82, before rallying to win the quarter by 9 and game by 10 to hold homecourt and take the pivotal 3-2 lead. Wright has his second heroic 4th quarter of the series and Casey playing Valanciunas in the 4th pays off.

3. Game 1, 4th quarter (TOR 28-WAS 21): With a 1 point game heading into the 4th quarter the pressure was on the Raptors to finally get that Game 1 win. A few big Miles 3s, clutch plays by Wright on both ends and Casey playing the Bebe card make big impacts as the Raptors win the quarter by 7 and game by 8. This win set up the Raptors emotionally to control the whole series.

4. Game 2, 1st quarter (TOR 44-WAS 27): The most lopsided quarter of the series for the Raptors, they drop 44 points and lead by 17 points to set the tone to take a commanding 2-0 lead. After a slow first game, Derozan gets into the series by dropping 13 in the first quarter on route to 37 for the game. The Wizards cut it to 5 in the 4th, but realistically we weren’t losing this one after the first quarter.

Overall 4th quarters were essential in this series. Brooks had to play Wall and Beal too many minutes which led us to be fresher in close games, with Game 4 as the exception which is a game we probably should've won. At home we were undefeated with the formula of it being close in the 4th and Wall and Beal being too gassed to win it in that environment.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I got some words for you. Very soon you and fellow Lizards fans will have to spend the next 5 months discussing on your off season trade/signing thread which over the hill bust or overpaid scrub your joke of a GM will sign or trade for while your clown coach tries to manage a cesspool of a lockeroom from being a second away from another Gilbert Arenas situation. All that money tied up and only one real accomplishment since 1975.

Oh man, my head hurts just thinking about this over hyped, overpaid excuse of a team.

Get this man off the floor, we got round 2 to prepare for.

We got chemistry issues no doubt...and as people Kyle and DD seem like better more likeable guys than Wall and Beal...but our issue is a lack of a bench and a coach that doesnt utilize the pieces we do have and develop players for the future. Honestly one point to consider...do you really think Ty Lawson is going to be a wizard next year? If not, why is he getting Sato’s minutes? Would it surprise you that Sato has been sitting on the bench for more than one playoffs and as soon as he played this year he looked surprised at the way the playoffs were compared to the reg season. NO it wouldn’t surprise you because you know players need reps to get better. And Satos reps were given to a dude that wont be here next year...so essentially Sato didnt get better and the team lost anyway....Good move by our coach..? NO horrible move by our coach...but only one horrible move of many...

Yeah - also Scott was killing us all series yet kept getting no PT. That was an odd one.

But you signed a coach who couldn't get a team with KD, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka to win a ship, what do you expect?

YO IF I COULD GIVE YOU 10000 AND1s I would...brooks lost with the team that God bet on....Only Brooks could stop KD, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka from winning a ring.... Brooks is the anti-Christ...

Well, LeBron, Wade, and Bosh were pretty good at one point too. Brooks hurt them by overplaying Perkins, but that was a very good Miami team and those OKC guys were young still.

Feel good to beat the Wiz. Delon's late block on Oubre was what Naismith had in mind.
