Mitchell has Gobert and other elite defenders surrounding him. I think you can't call him better than Booker at this point because of Booker's surrounding cast.

he's good defender, plus for sure. But he benefits that he is learning from a defensive minded coach and players that WILL demand him to play defense.

Booker has been unlucky that he's been on a team that doesnt really value defense or push it a lot...

I fear for Jackson... hence Suns need a coach who is a defensive player

And lol at Chandler being a defensive mentor... he's loving life in Arizona, he's going to retire there so he's fine with phoning it in

no doubt

But Booker is already lacking the defensive abilities and skills.... but these can usually be mitigated by instilling discipline and awareness by a tough coach and players around him... he hasnt had that so far..
he is 21... so its NOT too late to learn defense...

Booker will always be skiing uphill on one on one matches as a defender... but as a team defender... he has good chance to be adequate... but as it implies. "team defense" ... so it needs a coach and a system and a culture

I agree that he's a solid defender, I'm just saying I haven't seen anything to suggest he's this lockdown one-on-one, elite defender that the last couples posts are saying.

he's massive wingspan gets to bother lanes and shots.... hence reach is HUGE for defenders

Jazz thunder has been a fun series.

I enjoy watching adams set screens. Young bigs should study his tape. He's a mountain of a man so obviously can set the bone crushing ones but its more than that. He has a great feel when to float and give the ball handler the lane and when he rolls hes decisive and sprints. I like a lot of what he does and he's the type of guy I'd love to have on my team.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Westbrook with 19 3 point attempts already. Paul's gonna leave, Anthony is done and no big name free agent is ever gonna wanna sign with the Thunder to play with Westbrook

Paul George got ripped off over that foul... that was a 3pt attempt foul...

Referees need to be accountable

Curry or Harden would get that call... even lesser than that

That too. I'm talking about the very last possession where PG13 got Gobert caught in the air on a pump fake and was landed on mid-shot for no foul

Mitchell is having an amazing playoff run... they CAN beat the Warriors because of their system is specifically designed to force teams into a mid range game... and thats Warriors weakness, still good at it, but its the weakest portion of their offense as it means Durant will have to dominate the shots and the team focuses on getting Durant those shots.

Go Jazz... or Pelicans lol

The Jazz commentators were even baffled why Paul George was not shooting 3 free throws... very fair game callers, enjoyable to hear!

Nope Westbrook took 19 3pt attempts. I always say he will never win a championship because he only cares about his numbers.Paul is definitely leaving and I don't think Melo is done he's just at the wrong team, he should've went to the Rockets where he would still be allowed to be himself because his has 2 great point guards and he'll even get much easier shots

Return to Phoenix Suns
