First Oladipo, now George. Westbrook is the problem. Okc will never win a championship with him as the first option.

therealbig3 wrote:Even if it’s technically not supposed to be a foul call because the offensive player is leaning...come on, they CONSISTENTLY call that a foul. Just because it’s at the end of the game, a foul is still a foul. And like I said, all players have said the same thing about their issues with refs...it’s when things are applied inconsistently. If the refs were consistent with that did or did not call, then almost nobody would have a problem. But when you’re consistently calling that a foul, and then just because there’s only like 20 seconds left, it’s all of a sudden not a foul...that’s a huge problem.

Though it's nice to be a purist and wish for consistency all the time, it's simply not realistic. These refs make calls in real time so you cannot expect consistency every single time down the floor.

PG clearly jumps sideways to draw contact and still only grazes Gobert as he went by. NO ref wants to decide a series ending game on something like that.

Yeah - you guys are nuts if you think this is Westbrook’s or Melos fault. 2/16??? 5 points in 45 minutes of play? Who does that????!

And Laker fans celebrating that this guy is coming to your team? Lol...

Russ out there all by himself fighting to the end - at least he managed to score and rebound - him and Adams only starters that showed up and they almost won.

100% not a foul. Great call by the refs. I'm glad that stepping to the side into the defensive player isn't rewarded.

From that angle it looks like a foul. Had pg not crossing his legs in the end, the refs would have called a foul. He outsmarted himself and the refs were at a bad angle and assuming he was moving side ways based on the way he landed his feet....

That's the angle I was asking for. Thanks man.

It makes it a little close, but probably still a foul.

Jazz fans know about missing calls in the last second, too. Condolences.

LMAO! A high five?

That guy had a smartphone recording him up in his face, he should of slapped him.

at first I thought he was doing a high five too, but they showed it again in closeup and the guy was shooting a video on Russ. The phone was easy to miss.

I agree that shouldn't be a foul ideally. But that garbage is called almost 100% of the time in this league. They can't start changing the interpretation of the rule in Game 6 of a playoff game with 15 seconds left.

They did change the rule last off season, the problem is certain players are used to still getting the call.

That was a FANTASTIC no call by the refs.

I guess that signifies the end of OKC's "big three" mini-experiment. It's had its fun moments, but there was no semblance of synergy among them. For whatever Xs and Os expertise Billy Donovan has, they seem to be fruitless on this team, because he hasn't proven he can massage egos at the NBA level.

I detested Durant's decision to join the Warriors; but in a vacuum, I didn't blame him for leaving Westbrook at all—and it's only been reinforced after this game. He can do carry-jobs on otherwise-lottery-bound teams, sure, but I've concluded that he just can't synergize with multiple stars. It feels like he's playing just as ball-dominantly as he did last season despite the advent of two new star-level players; and while both of them underperformed tonight, Westbrook didn't exactly have a shooter's license to deprive the rest of his team of so many possessions with how poorly he's been shooting in his own right.
