Lol well that’s not the same thing at all and is idiotic to try and compare the two... he’s playing a sport in front of thousands of people who all have phones and most are recording.

Nice try though ;)

why not? cause ya know you'd get smacked? russ is on the job. he has a greater expectation of private space. poor try, though.

No because your attempt to come up with a scenario was embarrassing. As I already explained they are two different things. The fact you think he should assault a fan shows ur not exactly a smart person and this conversation is pointless.

All you can ask from refs is consistency. Some calls that are not right are tolerated because they are at least consistently wrong, ie tolerating 4-5 steps on a fast break, or weak double-T's to calm guys down.

As another poster mentioned, don't wait till the dying moments of a playoff close out game to start enforcing that lean-in rule.

Anyways I'd like to think the Jazz would have closed it out regardless of that. Not the prettiest series but fascinating to watch 2 very different squads go at each other. Hope OKC figure themselves out, ballhog or not Russ is unstoppable at times, love his passion and guts.

Can anyone justify PG0 having all of 5 points tonight?

It is unfathomable.

PG definitely initiated the contact without a doubt but that is consistently called every game.

I only watched the final quarter but I'm 99% sure there were similar calls made in this game.

I hate when they call it but if they're going to call it then they need to do it every time

So in your opinion if a mistake is done in the past double down and make more mistakes , great logic.

No, my opinion is to call it consistently. You'll see that call made about 5 times a game and people don't really complain even though it should be a no call or offensive foul. The reason we don't complain is because the refs consistently call it a shooting foul.

So they either need to enforce the rule every time or disregard the rule every time, not pick and choose when to enforce the rule.

And nobody can tell me that the ref may have just missed it because Snyder had a similar angle as the ref and Snyder had his face in his hands knowing it was goingto be called

I love how people will happily complain about PG0's shooting foul being uncalled, then proceed to overlook PG0's 5 point no show tonight when his team needed like 20 to 30 points from him to get to Game 7, because Westbrook is a chucker or a rhythm-depriving ball hog or the next coming of Hitler. :blank: :banghead:

according to real gm pg is good

I mean, he isn't an All-Star for nothing. But he didn't show up tonight when his team needed it the most. And I don't like that.

How can you not realize that saying "Westbrook will never win anything" isn't only something that you cannot guarantee but also makes this thread even more toxic than it is?

"If an offensive player with the ball can draw his defender into the air towards him (for example, on a pump fake), and he creates contact with the defender during his shooting motion, it is a shooting foul. However, if the defender is vertical (jumping straight up and down) or going to completely miss the offensive player (e.g., jumping to his side), and the offensive player seeks out contact with the airborne defender, it is an offensive foul if the contact is more than marginal (that is, minimal contact will not be called)."

Such an important game and now they depend on a rookie making the right decisions.

No better way to show everyone why only Simmons deserves to win ROY though.
It’s taken a total of 2 minutes for this post to backfire in your face...   D-Mitchell on fire.

I thought ROY was supposed to award regular season rookies?

Simmons is better equipped for regular season and Mitchell with his balls of steel is made to shine in the postseason. I thought that was clear 8-)

Thunder screwed this one up as well though, they had the shots.

Yes, most likely a foul on PG, or at least the call that one most of the time. The thing is, they were up double digits, and with Rubio out, still got into a 5-point deficit. PG's poor shooting throughout the night helped put them in that spot. And the Thunder had FIVE O rebounds and subsequent shot opportunities in a row.

Russ polarizes fans and critics, and this game will get both sides to dig in their heels, but I generally feel that a less-is-more approach from him, if he chooses to heed it, will actually help his team in the future. Same thing for his swiping and griping at fans.

DM is an amazing player, and this is just his first year. Incredible performance on the big stage. He's actually raised his game when it mattered most. Poised under pressure during the game, articulate and with good perspective after it. Rare.

You've earned it, Jazz, congratulations. Best of luck going forward.
