Apparently we missed FVV just that much. Amazing play in the 4th, loved the hustle and passing. The bench mob is back! ON TO INDIANA

You know who actually defended Oladipo really well while not being an offensive liablility? Malcolm Miller.
You know who we signed for the playoffs instead? Tory Lanez

Wow I just realized Malcolm Miller isn't on the playoff roster. I don't know why Casey just stopped playing him during the reg season when he was pretty impressive for the few mins he played

Yeah, I was killing him right up until the 4th. Great show and recover.
I dont think Jak had a good series. Though I do expect him to be better in the next series. Cavaliers/Pacers dont have anyone that can match the physicality of Gortat.

Now our dumbass owner Ted Leonsis is going to think we have "potential" and retain staff
Mission accomplished.
https://www.bulletsforever.com/2018/4/28/17294786/john-wall-washington-wizards-front-office-game-6-postgame-press-conferenceAfter Game 6 was over, John Wall gave his postgame remarks to the media. Wall acknowledged that while it is up to him and Bradley Beal to improve this offseason, “It’s up to our front office to add the pieces they think we need to make our team better and more complete.” You can watch the video above, via Sports Illustrated’s Ben Golliver’s Twitter account.
This isn’t the first time Wall has talked about the front office this season. In January, he mentioned a players-only meeting that didn’t go as planned since some players took criticism negatively. Wall alluded that the front office has to “figure things out” if bad losses continued at the time.
This was closer to a gentleman's sweep in 5 games- if we had FVV this was done in 5 and a series win more polished
As OG Wan Kenobi said, "These Washington teammates are not the teamates you are looking for," Change needed or it will not be fine.

congrats guys, you all should win the East
We're forever in mediocrity. Grunfeld will never be fired. And there's no hope of a culture reset like you all have had in the last year or so. Masai is a great GM.

I have been a believer in Casey since he was with the Wolves. Felt Glen Taylor effed up when he fired him especially cause we were over .500 and doing better. Took over a decade to get back to that standing since. Seems Casey has grown a lot over the years too which I knew he would.

Good series fam, the Otto porter injury didn't help, so you guys have picks? I feel like you need some youth infusion into the centre and pf ranks to learn from gortat and bring range

Remember now is not the time to make decisions- observations, sure - but not decisions.
What’s the “thinking” on Gortat? How much Scotch does Washington need to throw in with any deal?
Remember too, it gets worse for DC : this should have been a gentleman ‘s sweep and be done in 5. Once FRED vanvleet came back this series was done - raptors simply too deep

Luckily we have #15 and #45 in the upcoming draft. And we'll have our G-League affiliate up and running in October as well. So that's the best thing I can look towards for an improvement.
Otto's been hurt for much of the 2nd half of the season.. from his hip to the calf to his leg. Kid is tough but he has to get stronger and better attacking off the bounce. I'm hoping they don't trade him this summer like many fans on twitter keep yelling about. He's the glue to the squad and he had a good season against Toronto, just sucks he wasn't 100% when it counted.

don't forget the game vs the cavs when him and pascal did number on lebron. I have no clue why we signed tory lanez over miller, espically with norm being irrealent at the SF position.nabbs wrote:You know who actually defended Oladipo really well while not being an offensive liablility? Gortat has a $13.5M expiring contract. I don't know if there'll be any takers. He's a dinosaur in the NBA at this point.
Mahinmi's $30M left over the next 2 years is the biggest issue salary wise. I think we'll have to attach our 2019 1st to get rid of him. Let Gortat expire. Draft a young big in the upcoming draft.
We'd have been in good shape if we had not signed Mahinmi, Smith and Nicholson. Nicholson they traded to Brooklyn along with our 2017 1st round pick (Jarrett Allen) for Bogdanovic and McCullough. Bojan is in Indiana and McCullogh isn't an NBA player IMO. Allen would be the perfect young C to have on the roster and he'd be the starter going forward... and have Gortat be a bench guy. Sigh.

Because FVV was injured. They signed Brown in case FVV is out for an extended period of time.

CP24 is on as a default channel in every cafe, barbershop, salon, bar etc. in the city, so... at least the game broadcast had some reach ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure it's the best solution, but I think Porter would be a pretty great trade chip. You can get glue for cheaper. Someone like Andre Drummond will likely be available, and while he's not perfect he can play off Wall/Beal a lot better than Gortat/Mahinmi at this point. imo, you guys have to dump Morris, he's toxic and not what you need more of.
