McGinn:
2. HUNTER BRADLEY, Mississippi State (6-2 ½, 241, 4.81, FA): Redshirted in 2012, rode the bench in ’13 and snapped in three games in ’14. A walk-on, he was handed a scholarship in ’16. Granted a sixth year in ’17. “He’s the best athlete I saw,” one coach said. “He went there as a tight end. He can actually give you a little bit of coverage worth. Those other guys are just out there.” Finished with four tackles in 41 games. “He was in a shield formation but he did have to protect,” another coach said. From Collierville, Tenn.

This is obviously a guy we had lined up to be a priority UDFA. We wanted to move on from Goode last season since he was nonathletic in coverage, but we had to go back to him because we couldn't find anyone that could actually long snap or stay healthy.

If this fixes the snapping/holding issues its well worth the pick.

Yeah no issue using a 7th to make sure some other team doesn't scoop him up as a udfa. If he's good then you have the position fixed for a decade. I like that he has some coverage ability.

Heard he was timed 4.6 at the combine, but ran a 4.49 at his pro day. Looks fast on tape. I like it.

At that point, the writing on the wall would be “don’t play football” for me. Yikes.

McGinn:

AFC special-teams coordinator: “Pretty good snapper. He’s the best athlete I saw. He went there as a tight end. He can actually give you a little bit of coverage worth. Those other guys are just out there.”

AFC special-teams coordinator: “He was in the East-West Game. He was in a shield formation but he did have to protect. He’s my No. 2 best. I don’t see any of them getting drafted.”

Gute' is clearly trying to improve his "% of draftees that made the roster" with this and P pick. ;)

How many LS did we go through last year before we re-signed Brett Goode?
