andre roberson said he has not run yet, and is just now doing stairs. he plans on being back by the start of next season.

that sounds optimistic. i hope he doesn't rush. could be the difference between salvaging some of his career and his career ending.

I’m wondering if Presti is upset the truth came out or he felt no point in continuing to hide it

Here's the full quote - he didn't hold back.

i'm somewhat glad for this. it's rare we get players actually expressing themselves this way on the thunder. sam presti keeps a tight lid on this stuff.

Don't we finally have the "trade chip" of Singler's terribad contract this off-season / trade deadline?

I think he’s gone, one way or another. This is fantastic.

That sounds like Melo saying he'll be back and he expects to start and get 20 shots a game next year. He knows PG is gone and expects to get his "normal" number of shots as the top scorer on a team.

Dream scenario is PG comes back without Melo. I'm even okay with both of them leaving. The nightmare for me is just Melo opting in.

The nightmare is your reality. Just accept it. It has been predestined since Presti screwed up last off-season.

Yeah honestly it sounds a lot like that. Like he knows he only had to endure for this season and now he's gonna get his.

At least it's only 1 year, but if Melo and Donovan are back, I won't subject myself to it.

Translation: "I tried the whole reduced role route and it didn't work so now I do it my way"
The hilarious thing is that he never actually tried playing the way they wanted him to play for any stretch of time. He even admitted as much.

So he has committed two logical sins.
1. He thinks he played a role that he never actually played.
2. He thinks he needs to revert more to the way he was in NY in order to be successful in spite of the evidence otherwise.

(Sigh) I can only pray this in in reference to him being on another team and playing a bigger role.

For those that want to keep George and want Melo gone, I think today’s quotes should give some hope for that possibility. Melo isn’t opting out but I think he’s open to waiving the no trade clause. I think he would rather score points on a terrible team than ring chase.

sam presti loved enes kanter. the team and city loved him.

westbrook had all summer to sign his extension, but didn't do so until the team had melo in the fold.

melo said both westbrook and george recruited him aggressively to the thunder, after the rockets thing fell through.

imo, sam would have preferred to keep kanter. but westbrook and george wanted melo.

Bumping this because I’m wondering the same thing

Was Melo asked directly about his ETO?
