Who's next...
...Baze and Dennis? The last of the Danny Ferry connections.

Police said that a video recording of the incident showed Schroder “initiate contact” with the victim and that all four arrested individuals later struck the victim with hands and feet.

Are you a Hawks fan Jamal? Or do you just like watching our destruction?

Definitely a Hawks fan. I'd think that the 12+ years and 50+ hours a week I spend on this forum would reflect that.
I just recognize that this recent iteration needed massive changes in order to improve. We needed a purge. This is it.
I look forward to what comes next for the franchise.
In all honesty, watching us stumble to 43 and 24 wins the last couple of years was the hardest thing to watch.

Funny 13 years huh? That’s exactly the time Brad Rowland became a fan. He mentioned it a while back I just wanted to note that. Maybe you would enjoy college ball more than the NBA with your concern of all these kids staying in school? Who knows.

I appreciate the passion that college players play with.
But, the skill level of the players, coaches and referees can be...frustrating to watch at times.
PS I'm pretty sure Brad Rowland is a young white guy.
My name is Jamaal...and ummmm, I'm not those things.

When do you trust 'Police say?' - see Thabo.
Where's the video? I'm still waiting.

^You asked the question, lady.
Who's next to depart this squad? Probably the guy currently accused of felony battery.
(I'm not getting into a debate on the trustworthiness of Atlanta Police. That's an...unproductive conversation in this setting.
To say the least.)

I think Dennis will get traded and honestly i'm fine with that. I'm not fine with having a roster full of G-Leaguers though.

100% agree. I get the whole notion of searching for 'diamonds in the rough'. But hoping we can search through higher caliber prospects moving forward.
How many of our four draft picks do you foresee on our roster next season?
Do you think we even keep all four picks?

There may or may not be a Danny Ferry joke somewhere in there. I'd side with the former.

"He said the most important consideration is a coach who connects with young players and helps them develop."
So we are looking for a developer of young basketball talent, which usually means younger assistant coaches.

Or maybe a college coach?
Unless it's Jay Wright of Villanova, I don't think I'd like that at all...

Re: Who's next...
I think TS will try to get something for Prince and eventually move Schro.
If TS wanted to make an offer on Wiggins, it would make sense to move Prince. With his nice late season production and his being an older rook contract; it could be a good move.
Schro needs to settle his court case and think about playing with a more competitive team. I'd now take a mid-first because I don't think Schro fits what the Hawks want at PG. Might get more by taking a bad contract to match Schro's salary.
I will be very surprised if either Schro or Prince is still with the team by after 19 draft

If we trade Prince, that’s mistake #2 for Schlenk.
1. Getting rid of Bud
2. Trading Prince

I could see them trying to move Dennis but his value is at an all-time low right now. We'd be trading "junk" for worse junk. Is that where we want to be?
Trading Printz would basically be making moves for the sake of making moves. It's like, "Uh, let's get rid of this guy .... to find a guy just like him."

Re: Who's next...
^IDK
If we draft a forward with a higher ceiling whose skill set is more aligned with offense, that seems like it would be more important to a rebuild. Finding the guy. A high level scorer.
Taurean is also already in his mid-twenties. And if we're drafting in the lottery the next couple of summers, we're likely drafting 18/19 year olds on a different timeline.
TP entering his prime is of greater benefit to a more competitive team...

The obvious need for us is a wing scorer, alpha type. Printz would be an ideal fit next to that guy, especially if it's a small(ish) 2. He's not in the way of that guy.
He's also tracking to be a non-max yet highly useful player so his age is irrelevant. If anything, his next deal would help us in reaching that mythical salary floor while our first option guy(s) are still on rookie deals. He'd also be an imminently trade-able contract/asset if they handle it properly.
Long story long, there's no need to trade him any time soon ... unless you're a new GM trying to justify your job by making a bunch of useless moves.
