If only Giannis had the ballhandling skills that Simmons has, as a 6'10" point guard...

Because we watched the Bucks series. And someone named Stevens thought his D was good enough to start the rookie in a Game 7.

It's my understanding Brown is doubtful for tonight. I would assume they'll hold him out because there are 3 days until game 2 on Thursday. Much more likely to see him back then, especially if the Celtics lose game 1. I bet if they win game 1 they hold him out of game 2 also.

I'm not buying it he's playing tonight.

Last time the Sixers and Celtics played was in January of this year, four months ago.

They played twice in that month, and it ended 1-1.

Kyrie Irving played in the win. He was injured for the loss. Sixers had not yet made any of their important trade deadline deals. That was still to come roughly a month afterwards, in February.

We can go back and look into 2017 and preseason, but the teams and players have changed so much, that it doesn't do us any service currently.

Let's see how they start off things tonight.

Time for yet another pizza and wings night, just like with the previous Miami series opening night of game 1. It has become tradition, just for game 1s lol.

I trust no one active player on the Celtics to be honest but I trust in Brad. I believe Brad is creative enough to outcoach the young talent on the 6er's. In Brad I trust! I go to school in Philly. I'm sure I'll be getting heated stares from all the 6er's fans when I openly root for the Celtics. I hate all philly teams btw

I have the C's winning the series in 6. Home court is going to be huge in this series IMO.

I have a feeling we're going to see this series many times over the next 5 years or so...probably in the ECF tho.

Will be extremely tough for the Celtics to win if Brown is out. That’s just too much to make up for. Celtics gonna need Morris to go on one of his iso scoring modes for a game or two if Brown is out and Smart to play really well

I feel game 1 is more winable for the Celtics than game 2 and while it is not impossible to win in Philly i think the c's have to go up 2-0 if they are going to win.

What’s the distance in talent between Smart and Josh Richardson? Richardson showed a lot of effort and skill on the defensive end. Then I’m assuming Boston will use Morris in the same way as James Johnson to be in Simmons face defense. Not sure what number 37 is suppose to do.

What’s #37 going to do??

If Simmons tries something like this instead of running the offense Brown needs to immediately call time out and regroup. A quick move to a pass or shot is one thing but this is just dumb/reflects a lack of movement from the rest of the Bucks.

Bucks desperately need a real coach. If they get Budenholzer I could see them winning 50+ next year.

Embiid would have set a pick already in that situation and Ben would have dunked on Baynes or fouled him at the very least.

Not very impressive when you consider Embiid shooting like 1/13 from 3 when “guarded” by Horford.

Give us Bostonians a shot. We can be just as obnoxious and irritating as anyone when we try.

Forsberg is aware that the Sixers signed Belinelli on February 12th and Ilyasova on February 28th. The last game the Sixers and Celtics played in the regular season was on January 18th. The Sixers are a totally different offensive team now.
