Does this bode well for a draft prospect like Mikal Bridges?

Should MIL consider trading Khris Middleton for CJ McCollum?

Is Khris Middleton the most underrated player in the NBA?

Middleton looks the part of an alpha scorer these days. He's averaging more shot attempts (17.2) against Boston than Antetokounmpo (16.2) while downing 57 percent of his overall looks and 60 percent of his treys.

Milwaukee's offense has cratered by 21 points per 100 possessions when Middleton catches a breather—the largest on-off differential on the team among players who have tallied at least 15 total minutes in the series.

This is supposed to be one of Middleton's biggest knocks. He isn't a focal point, bail-out scorer or offensive hub. He's more complementary than featured.

In this series, though, Middleton has been both. And while the Bucks find themselves facing elimination, they'd already be long gone if not for his attack-mode activation.
Bleacher Report

How does a Bledsoe/McCollym backcourt work.
PTL should, Midds would help their backcourt defense.
Both teams have salary cap problems so it'll be a difficult trade.

I like all except 4. It should be, go 'Undrafted' ypu get to go back to College. Not if you don't like where you are drafted. That leaves the team drafting you put in the cold, a wasted pick for the team.

Yeah, it's a rule they utilize in baseball. It's easier to accommodate because there are 40+ rounds in that draft

Allowing this in the NBA would definitely require some adjusting to the draft process.

Unless the team gets to keep the rights, like a draft and stash.

I probably wouldn't worry about accommodating Eric Bledsoe.

As a low usage 3 & D player, Malcolm Brogdon would be the ideal complement to CJ McCollum in Bucks backcourt.

Giannis
McCollum
Brogdon

is a nice collection of wings to carry into a series--> A very good combination of offense/defense/outside-shooting.

Bledsoe off the bench and a few defensive bigs...that's a roster I'd go to battle with.

And that's an NHL rule.

(Or at least it was in the past.)

Kids could go into the draft when their stock was at its peak, and then head back to college to refine their game a bit more.

Always felt really weird to me.

Spoiler:
A similar dynamic will exist in hockey, where players get drafted at 17 or 18 and then decide whether to play in kind-of professional junior leagues or in college programs. Because official agent representation has to end before a college career starts, players won’t get to lean on an agent in deciding whether they should cut their NCAA careers short and sign entry-level contracts with the team that holds their draft rights. SB Nation

If an NHL team does not sign a player within the two years in which he was drafted, he can re-enter the draft as long as he is 20 years old or younger for his second draft. Players over 20 years old automatically become UFAs. Players can only enter the NHL Draft twice. NHL.com

Hockey's entry draft grants eligibility to any player older than 17 by Sept. 15 and younger than 21 on Dec. 31. The most touted talents are taken around the time they graduate from high school, making the NCAA a difficult balancing act that can serve as an NHL development league of sorts. Teams retain rights to a player until 30 days after he has left college. Chicago Tribune

Who says no?

NBA trade rumors: Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis for Spurs' Kawhi Leonard?

Any deal for Leonard would have to include Kristaps Porzingis, whom the Spurs are said to be head over heels with, as well as a first-round pick. It's a steep price, but the addition of Leonard plus available cap space in the summer of 2019 could dramatically alter the course of history for the star-crossed franchise.

The one major problem, of course, is that Porzingis is currently recovering from major knee surgery and his status for next season is uncertain. But with Manu Ginobili and Parker possibly retiring, perhaps the Spurs are thinking of playing the long game.

Most including me wanted Al to be a Hawk for life. He didn't have any intention of staying, his family insulted Atlanta fans, and he basked in his green adulation for days before he got around to thanking Atlanta. He went to the perfect team for him and I don't blame him but the way it went down sucked. Same reason I'll always put Greg Maddux over Glavine and Smoltz. The latter couldn't keep their ego in check when the end came.

He turned his back on us long before we turned on him so I find the question to be somewhat prejudicial ... is that the right word?

I think it's cheap and easy to suggest Hawks fans were 'wrong' to be upset at the guy and that, now that he's still "doing his winning thing" (whatever TF that means), we should ... feel any kind of way about it.

Clearly the national narrative is that we should've worshipped at the ALter and the fact that we didn't means we're "bad fans". Well, as most national narratives go, that's lazy and Sekou (of all people) should know better.

May as well ask Hawks fans how they feel about Aron Baynes. Uh why would we feel any way about Aron Baynes, Sekou? He's a Selltic. Same as Alice.

Sekou, you're above pandering to the big fan base.

We weren't winning a ring with Al, so I'm good.

FTR, Mike. You called this eval years ago.

Clint Capela has proven to be an elite defensive big man for this new era of the NBA.

And he's now set for a pretty big payday this summer.

He's undoubtedly raw, but with that explosive athleticism and size I think he has the potential to be an elite big man.

Four potential landing spots for Paul George in free agency

Lengthy article but the four teams are:
Philadelphia, OKC, Lakers, and Brooklyn.

Brooklyn?!?

That's a surprising inclusion.

PG13 in Philly seems a better fit than them adding Lebron.

Too busy right now but it’ll give me time to grab some beer and popcorn before I wander over to the Wizards’ board and see the implosion over Grunfeld getting an extension. That board is second only to the Raptors in terms of entertainment.
