PG13 is leaving OKC according to a thread on the GB.

They got royally screwed in that trade.

Love is beyond terrible in the playoffs. its like he turns from a solid 18/10 dude to rookie frank.

I was reading an article about Capela's development under the tutelage of James Harden and this quote stuck out to me:

"James is very smart," said Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, who has turned over the entire roster with the exception of Harden, Capela and glue guy Trevor Ariza in the past two years.

Almost a complete roster turnover in two years. Pretty Similar to what the Sixers have done. I wonder if the culture in Houston is suffering due to the quick turnover of players?

Big difference in how PHI treated their players (specifically filing the roster with guys they knew they didn't want) and how HOU treated theirs, which is kind of the point.

I feel kinda bad for Messina, he had to figure he'd be the first European NBA coach

meanwhile, Kokoskov coached Doncic on team Slovenia; is the lottery fix in for PHX?

Welp, Boston is up 3-0 in the 2nd round without 2 superstars. Not sure what more evidence is needed that we have to rebuild.

We can start by stealing their lead assistant.

Coaching goes a long way.

I think people underrate the impact of coaching because in the past it wasn't seen as super important in the NBA. I think in the current era it is hugely important and guys like Stevens/Pop seem to have similar impact as a high end superstar level player.

I actually had the complete opposite take.

I am completely amazed that two years ago Donovan Mitchell just finished a season where he averaged 7 points a game and shot 25% from three.

Yeah, let's just discredit Boston's other players and credit it all to the coach. Fact is their team is loaded with talent and they are cruising to the ECF without Hayward and Irving. Tatum and Brown will only be better next year with all this playoff experience. So, what exact logic are you using to think Charlotte has any sort of reasonable shot at competing against them?

Stevens (with Larranaga by his side) was taking the Celtics to the playoffs when their most talented young players were Smart and Olynyk. So yeah he's going further into the playoffs now that he has better talent, but let's not act as if he hasn't consistently outperformed expectations regardless of the roster he has to work with.

Without Kemba we would be one of the worst teams in the league and they are winning without two all stars. If this doesn't show how badly we need to tear everything down to the studs and start over nothing will convince some people of that. Our entire roster is a mess and tweaking it won't fix this.
