I really want Robert Williams, I'd be willing to move up for him...but what would it take?

Highly productive guys like Bates-Diop or Aaron Holiday make me not mind moving back 7 spots or so if we get a fair offer of a team wanting to move up. A chance a guy like Jontay Porter could be there around pick 24 as well. Point is that there should be a contributor in the mid-20s and we might get a future 1st rounder that we can really use.

not that i'm 100% sold on him...but knowing the bucks recent history, he makes sense being their guy

I just don't want to risk it on a player that had such an interesting recruitment period leading him to not play in college. It was just weird. Committed to WKU because of his uncle or something, then de-committed and was too late to go anywhere else.

totally understand...but this was a very highly sought after player in his recruiting class

lots of talent slipping due to not playing college ball

might be a chance to really steal a player here

Actually, that's an interesting perspective I hadn't thought about. He was extremely talented, I just want to make sure he's motivated to prove all the people wrong and if we had a coach that could bring that out in him. Are there any interviews with him I could watch?

I know nothing about him or the 99% of the players you speak about but do you mean Antonio Davis ??? If so why is he not no1 pick???? :D

i'm sure you can find plenty on youtube

no idea

all i know is he was the third ranked center in his class behind Ayton and Mo Bamba..and as high as #11 on the ESPN top 100

like i said, might be a chance to grab a real talent due to slippage

IIRC he destroyed Atyon head to head in HS as well.

trying to remember where it was....but he also had the highest ever recorded +/- in EYBL tourney or something

quote from his Stepien draft profile:
Arguably the best rim protector in the class. Lead EYBL with 5.6 blocks per 36 minutes. 0.7 more than the next best player and almost 2 blocks more than the third. EYBL numbers, especially defensive numbers, have so far proven to be useful and translatable at higher levels of play. Was the best rim protector on that circuit and looked to have as much or more defensive upside than Mo Bamba, Jaren Jackson, Wendell Carter, Daniel Gafford etc

All I gleaned from any of the Robinson videos is that he's definitely the tallest and most athletic kid in a gym full of high schoolers. Whether or not that means he's gonna be Amare Stoudemire, or Travis Outlaw.....well, you decide. But then that's kind of the point with these home run swing type guys. I'm always for taking a shot, especially where we're picking, but you better mentally prepare yourself to draft a bust cuz that's the more likely outcome.

I just wish we had more good tape on the guy. Really hoping he plays in the 5v5 at the combine, but then again if he kills it there he won't be on the board at 17.

DX: What kind of player are you right now?
Robinson: Ah, I can, kind of player I am, be like chilled, kind of

That was a brutal interview, but that has to be the worst answer to that question I have ever heard.

You can be dumb as a brick and have incredible BBIQ. Cough, cough Jason Kidd.

I know it's silly to base it off a couple videos and articles, but I'm going to pass on Mitchell Robinson. If Robert Williams isn't possible I'd go with a SG or shooter and try and figure out something else at the 5.
