This must have been a fairly easy design project, in the context of how terrible the Bradley Center was in every facet. Its not often that a stadium is replaced/torn down with less fanfare and nostalgia. But that is how awful that arena and Kohl's teams were.

If imitation is the best form of flattery (design-wise), the BC has only one cheaper, quasi-imitator - Target Center.

Target copied the relatively cheap to build octagon shape (they were trying to minmize construction costs), but at least they include tolerable legroom. I term the BC the "Cadillac Cimmaron of Arenas" - nice amenities (glass atriums. granite exterior & trim, copper alloy roof) applied over an otherwise nondescript, spartan core. Shows what happens when specator confort is compromised for seating capacity. Pretty much impossible to fix that type of mistake without a total rebuild.

Good thoughts.

Ill take the Target Center over the BC anyday, based on the skyway (covered parking and entry) and food options. The Kohl era BC always enraged me with lack of food option. It has at least been slightly improved in that area in the last 3-4 years. Even the Kohl Center now has a few boutique type stands.

I am very excited to check out the new stadium.

Says late April for the decision on how to sell stuff. I would think in the next month they will be auctioning off chairs and stuff from the stadium, right?

That Neil Diamond guitar would be great to play on a hot August night.

I can't imagine them auctioning stuff off before things are actually dismantled.

Zac Brown Band is the Nickelback of country music.

Are there only two areas to enter and exit the arena?

Ya know, I didn't even really pay attention.

The door we entered off Juneau was just a service door. The atrium on the East side is huge. Really impressive. Other than that I don't recall the entry situation.

Country music is the Nickelback of music.

Am I the only one that likes Nickelback? Or are we saying that Nickelback is the Aaron Rodgers of vocal artists?

I have 15 minutes of video. He made us promise not to share any video or pictures.

The only picture I took was in the Bucks locker room. I took it because Giannis was the only one who had a nameplate on his locker which I found interesting.

To their defense, they've sold 50 million albums so must be fans somewhere.

Yeah, it's not like we had a situation where John Hammond was cool and gave his personal number to a fan and we totally didn't have it posted publicly here and have posters attack the the very nature of Goodwill of said bucks employee by bombarding them with hate texts. Nah this board would never do something like that.

Yeah, Target Center isnt great. Thought it was a slightly newer BC when I went.

This is the western "service" side of the building - given the least aesthetic attention & the subject of much derision.

There's a secondary entrance at extreme left (NW corner of arena), indoor player parking, emergency generators & HVAC coolling towers to its right, and six enclosed loading docks furthest right. I see no direct evidence of a helicopter pad, however.
