Re: Welcome Jonah Bolden
Whilst Bolden isn't putting up huge scoring numbers (averages 6.4ppg at 60.8% 2pt shooting and 33% from 3pt range) defensively he has been good.

Re: Welcome Jonah Bolden
This video popped up on my youtube recommended videos. Very nice compilation of what he has done in Euroleague this year.
You can see all the NBA level attributes... his defense looks to be even better than I remember and his athleticism at 6ft 10 allows him to switch onto smaller guards and defend them really well. Also his passing is on point. Will definitely be able to produce off the bench for us next season...we could roll out some insane athletic quick 6ft 10 lineups with Bolden, Embiid and Simmons and then throw in Covington. Scary big and athletic.

He must be watching Simmons highlights. He reminds me too much like Nick Kyrgios for me to like him.

Man, I'm beyond disappointed in him, offensively. He kinda sucks. Looks like a mere small ball defensive specialist at C.

I have never really gotten what all the hype is about.
Granted I've never seen a live game of his (unless I randomly caught a UCLA game he played in that I forget). Certainly the player that people have pumped him up as would have a role here but I'm dubious.

I mean he looks exactly like the kind of big the scouting report said he was? He runs the floor, can sometimes spread the court, blocks shots, and mostly just finishes plays. Sounds like the typical dump off big although i anticipate his defense against other bigs won't hold up.

Re: Welcome Jonah Bolden
He's our Holmes replacement. Not the Embiid backup people were weirdly hoping he'd be. Which is fine since Holmes is probably on the way out and having a 3rd big is something we still need.

Re: Welcome Jonah Bolden
If he’s a roll man who can shoot 33% from beyond and also protect the rim and pick up guards on switches and not get exposed... that has real value off the bench. Imagine a taller Richaun with defensive awareness.

I liked what I saw from Bolden in Summer League. I have hope for him next season and think he can contribute.

Pretty accurate, Holmes with a better chance of developing a three and better defensive awareness. Not quite the energetic hops Ruchaun has, but like his length. Get him on a four year rookie deal if possible and he gives you that role on the cheap, with some hope for more.

I know it's a small sample size, but 51% FT and 31% 3PT this season at Maccabi doesn't inspire confidence.

I see him like Theis. He can switch, go out to defend and protect the rim. But he’s far from being the savior from this team.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Re: Welcome Jonah Bolden
What's up with these Aussies and their FT shooting?
Either way, looked pretty much as advertised, slumped a little from 3 second half of the season. Nice stroke though, so that should get better. Can handle the ball in transition. Defense looked great. Can legitimately guard 1-4 and it's damn impressive to watch. We really could of used his switching ability against the Celtics. Not sure strength wise he's ready to guard the 5 yet, could take a few years, but unlike Richaun, he has great instincts with a 7-3 wingspan to boot.

I personally believe he could play at the 4 next to JoJo at times. Looks like the type of high energy, high IQ, explosive type player we desperately needed at times this season. We’ll see.
