Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
On the latest DTD Miky and Andrew briefly discussed what might be necessary to retain Jerami Grant this offseason. If his price tag rises and ends up in the 10mil range OKC would have to move some salary. Miky suggested moving 2Pat for an early 2nd. Not sure how I feel about that given the lack of PF talent in this draft. I would definitely consider Jontay Porter. I think he and Jerami could really compliment each other given their skill sets but Jontay's stock seems to be rising.

If somebody gives Grant 10 Mill then wish him well.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Due to his age, I think jontay goes in the first round.

Troy brown is a guy I really like. He seems like an extremely well rounded, high IQ player and is still very young. If we end up with a draft pick and got him, I would be thrilled.

Mutually exclusive.

Landry Shamet would be interesting. Could be a steady presence behind and beside Westbrook that could calm things down and run an offense... IF WE HAD ONE.

Good to see presti is already working on finding players for his main priority. The Blue should be pretty good.

Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
Assuming we keep our current 2nds are there any prospects in that 50-60 range that people like? I feel like as a sort of general philosophy you have to just look at who has the best chance of being an NBA player and not who would fit best on our current roster. I like Shamorie Ponds even though I don't see him as a fit with Russ and Arnoldas Kulboka doesn't look like he has the frame yet to defend SFs at an NBA level but I could see him developing into more of a big SG like Satoransky based on his playmaking.

I'm really liking what I've seen from Caleb Martin. I think that kid can be a nice bench sparkplug w/ a fair amount of upside. I'd take a shot on him if he's on the board.
And my God... Have you guys seen Billy Preston? A gamble, sure, but I'd take that gamble in a heartbeat if he's available at 53.

Preston is a beast. I would be ecstatic if he fell that low. If he goes to the combine I think his stock will skyrocket.

Extremely athletic, under developed guard who chose not to go to college. I feel like I’ve seen this before.

Now that Orlando knows they aren’t getting the top pick, I could see them as a team that wants russ “if” we rebuild.

If they rebuild, I hope they don't do that to Russ.

Where could you send him that OKC gets a decent return and Russ is sent somewhere he’s happy?

Cleveland? Denver? Memphis? Philly?

Denver has been my first choice all along. Their fans on RealGM don’t want to do it but I think their FO might. Presti taking Murray plus draft pick might be enough talent to keep OKC from bottoming out if that’s what he fears. It just depends on if he feels like he can get a player with a frp from Denver that contributes enough to build around.
