I would have put a blown up image of Alex Lasry in his hard hat on the roof..to honor the hardworking men and women who built the great structure.
Go Bucks!

That worked. Thanks!
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Re: Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center (NEW ARENA) Thread
There is no question the roof turned out badly. For the last three months I kept waiting for them to put up the additional zinc panels (which look great IMO) up higher to "finish the sides". But alas the sides were finished.
It almost looks like they put a giant white hefty kitchen bag over the top or the roof is a bad tupperware lid.
(Note, these are minor comments, the rest of this was a home run *10 IMO)

Agree. As it currently stands it's a 8 out of 10 for me. Going higher with the zinc pushes it to 10/10

better, sure
but not by much
i wish they'd have, at least, finished it in copper or something...so that it would age and have a patina.
like someone else said, the way ti is just looks like they threw a white trach bag over the top of it and tacked it down.

I’d be more pissed, but the parking garage is so damn expensive that the feature was pointless for me anyways. I’m not paying $20 a game on top of my season ticket prices just to park in a structure that’s a pain in the ass to get out of. I’d rather park 2 blocks away in an easy access lot/garage.
I agree with this too. Except when it's really cold I'll park outside most likely.
Same here. I'm actually hoping that lot on corner of State/6th will be a little lower with being farther from arena now. On week nights I just can't deal with waiting 20-30 minutes to get on 43 north whereas that lot once I'm in my car, 5 minutes I'm back on the interstate. I tried the new structure for the Sunday Pelicans game in February and wasn't terrible, but still took about 25 minutes to actually get out of the structure. Granted that was a well attended game too. And then you're at the will of people letting you in, which can be hit or miss with some a**holes.

A copper roof for a structure that size is not really an option for a lot of reasons.
I get your point though. Something better looking.

Yeah, once you get out, it's just a straight shot up 6th street to the North Ave. on ramp. It's that getting out of the structure part that's going to suck. Usually I go early enough that I can get a good spot to get out quickly from though.

That 6th & State lot has been my main parking spot for as long as I can remember. Used to be much, much cheaper than it is now. I agree that they should drop to $10 (maybe $15 for big events) now that it’ll be much further from the entrances to the new arena.
Of course every few years they’d announce plans to develop something there and it’d fall through so who knows how long it’ll stay a parking lot anyway.

You knobs want skywalks? You got skywalks.

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”
