Yes. I don’t think Randle signs long term anywhere. He’ll have a larger market next year and could get more money if he has another good year.

Not sure how many times will offer Randle this summer ( of the 7 with cap space) with it MAYBE just being a contract year performance.

CC will get locked up in Houston. Don’t see Moryl letting him walk, even if Lebron was interested.

You know Randle's cap hold is only going to go up right? This'll be the cheapest his cap hold will ever be

Yeah but our FO wants stars. They clearly don’t vision Randle as a star as they were trying to trade him up till the 3PM trade deadline a few months ago haha.

They want to stay flexible for this summer and next. And of course, they both have stated they won’t spend money to say they did. I think they value Randle decently, but not nearly enough if there’s a chance to land Lebron and PG. or even a Klay / Butler in 2019.

I've outlined it before, but if we only get Paul George this summer, we only need to structure Randle's contract to 18.5 mil or less for 2019/20 to keep open enough cap space for a 30% max (Kawhi/Butler/Klay).

Note: working on assumption Deng will be easier to move when we don't need pure cap space back (i.e. a 2019 expiring)

I like the deng, Ingram for derozan deal.

Coming out of college PG and demar wanted to play together so this would probably convince him to sign.

Worst case sign and trade Deandre for randle and Lonzo, derozan,PG,kuz, Deandre would be interesting.

There's going to be a lot of good role players available this summer on really good deals because of the lack of cap space.

Curious what everyones thoughts are on a big board of their free agents, taking in all of the factors, how would you rank the free agents (including our own)?

1- Paul George
2- Julius Randle
3- LeBron James
4- Jabari Parker
5- Clint Capela
6- Will Barton
7- DeMarcus Cousins
8- KCP
9- Avery Bradley
10- J.J. Redick
11- DeAndre Jordan
12- Brook Lopez
13- Marcus Smart
14- Wayne Ellington
15- Marco Belinelli
16- Trevor Ariza
17- Isaiah Thomas (he shoots up this list if he's willing to take a 1 year deal)
18- Ersan Ilyasova
19- Mario Hezonja
20- Ian Clark
21- Jerami Grant
22- Seth Curry
23- Tyreke Evans
24- Shabazz Napier
25- Luc Mbah a Moute

I didn't include Durant, Paul and some of the RFA's who I don't think would be available.

Dreaming of an off-season where we sign:

- George ($30)
- Barton ($15)
- Lopez ($8)
- Ilyasova ($8)
- Clark (room exception)
- Re-sign Randle ($15)
- Veteran minimum on Frye, Afflalo
- Andre Ingram (2 way)

Draft:

- Tony Carr (#25)
- Malik Newman (#47)

PG: Lonzo/ Clark/ Carr
SG: George/ Barton/ Newman
SF: Ingram/ Hart/ Afflalo/ A Ingram
PF: Kuzma/ Ilyasova/ Frye
C: Randle/ Lopez/ Bryant

To the above ... I think IT is willing to accept a 1 year deal, but the Q is, is he willing to come off the bench OR can they find a way for IT and Ball to work together and along with PG/BI?

I'd be up just for 1 star player this year and keeping the team intact - lolpez/kcp just not a fan of them as long as those two and lbj ain't on the team I'll be happy :)(
My Go Team
Magic, Jordan, Bird, Duncan, Shaq

Congrats, you got us the 9th seed! Terrible. You also gave away our most promising future while limiting our future in terms of cap space. Excellent job!

I totally disagree!!
I think this team get 3rd seed...
For you Ingram>>>Kawhi??? Ingram is an incredible player but Kawhi is elite superstar!!!
Leonard, George and Bradley are elite defenders... and good shooters...

Yeah, and if he does sign on, it can't be for too much more than $10M for one season. Because this team needs other wing roleplayers. And when you start to add more depth on the wing, then the question gets into playing time.

As much as I love Isaiah, I just don't see a role. I would absolutely love to take a gamble on him since he's had the surgery and will likely be better next season. I just don't see a fit.

We need to sign another wing player. Whether that's Barton/Redick/Belinelli/Ariza/KCP/Bradley. And if George doesn't sign, we need two or three of those guys. Because last year, we were forced into giving Ennis, Brewer, Wear minutes playing the wing position and that was awful.

Ariza is the best option , Belinelli second best , Reddick third .

"According to a league source, one such team is the Phoenix Suns. They have kept tabs on him throughout the season, and have reportedly become “enamored” with him. They have plans to offer Capela a max or near-max contract once free agency begins. The source requested anonymity because he isn’t authorized to comment on the Suns’ plans."

Yeah....I don't get the folks who think we're gonna get him for $14mil -$16mil. It's borderline rude...imo. I we don;t want him, let him walk...don't insult the guy. I just wanna know who's gonna be out there banging the boards if he leaves? Good player.....doubt he'll ever be a great player. But he certainly brings alot to the table for our team.

Rockets are going to replace him with another low usage center and not miss a beat. Its easy to look great when you are finishing lobs alongside Harden and CP3.

Suns will max Capella & Dallas will give Randle $20 million per year (Dallas native) & pair him with Dennis Smith & let Dirk & Barnes space the floor...

I doubt that Dirk's corpse is going to be doing much spacing.

I look at it the other way. Out of the 6 or 7 teams with cap space, that eliminates 2 of them (ourselves and Phoenix). I'll take it.

Read on Twitter

I don't look at this from a Lakers perspective. To say "He's coming to the Lakers!!!!" because he's at a Dodgers game is ridiculous.

With that said, two weeks ago his team was in the playoffs. He wasn't on the bench because being in New York was important for his rehab. What's changed in two weeks that's allowed him to travel across the country?

This is more of a reflection on his current relationship with San Antonio.
