You sound surprised.

Guess that colitis went away in record time.

Maybe the smugness isn't due considering this was apparently Dana just flapping his gums and reflects no interest on GSP's part.

Yea, well the post said "GSP is looking for" and the follow up responses were as if GSP's camp floated the idea. But lets not act like it would be totally shocking either.

And in both cases, the "champ" kept delaying delaying delaying in order to avoid the fight. I'm guessing Shevchecko would be more than -1000 in that matchup.

Maybe they shouldn't hand out belts when the best in the division aren't fighting for it...

GSP has fought a harder strength of schedule than whoever your favorite fighter is.

So, it doesn't matter whether, a) there is truth to it, b) there is none. Either way, you expect it and GSP is a coward.

I think the UFC realizes they can't make GSP defend a belt, so they're trying to see if htey can make him fight to get to a belt...

Nah, I walked back my statement once I found out there was no truth to it. I assumed his fans weren’t just speculating something out of thin air.

He cleared an entire division with mixed abilities. shields, condit, Juiced Hendrix, Diaz, HughesX2, Alves, Koscheck x2, Fitch, all in their prime. Then beat Bisping in heavier division. The guy fought everyone in his way.

Out of curiosity do you think Silva had a tougher schedule?

I think Cormier probably has the toughest strength of schedule, tbh, if I can count Stipe. Way more dangerous fighters that could end him at any moment. :dontknow:

I have no clue who his favorite fighter is. That's why I said most likely.

Cormier, maybe.

Stipe, stfu. They might be able to shut out the lights b/c kinetics but these are guys with the pedigree of seagulls. Ngannou started MMA like 5 years ago and doesn't even practice grappling. Stipe himself has a god damn day job. Do you understand the difference between Hughes, Koscheck, Hendricks, etc. and a 2017/USADA'd Overeem or Ngannou?

Definitely

I think I read they are going away with the TUF shows and it's a good thing they are. How many TUF champs of a new division has actually been successful?

I meant DC has it if I can include Stipe on his list. But probably has it anyway by having to fight the GOAT twice.

Well they only did it twice (145 was a different issue). Esparza lost her first defense but it was 3 months after she got the belt and against the top contender. And Rose was on the show and is now the champ.

Can't imagine any of the 125 TUFers beating Shevchenko.

Exactly, both of those champs either lost pretty quickly or is outright not fighting. I just think trying to up the ante with by putting a UFC belt on the line for a reality TV show was always a joke to me.

FTFY.

It actually makes DC's SOS stronger though, knowing he was fighting a juicer.
