Let's be real if guys like Woj are saying Mike is the frontrunner. it's most likely going to happen.

Woj didn't say that.

Yes, in his article he says mike is the frontrunner. nurse and stack will be considered

Get're done, Masai. I'd super ecstatic if we could swoop in on the Bucks and get coach Bud.

Atlanta went full rebuild and lost important players.

Okay...?

Yeah let's watch the Cavs shoot a record margin from three next season

This is not a Smitch situation. I predict Casey ends up with another job very shortly. If not next season, then the season after that.

I think he can get a job but just not as a HC. Given his age I don’t think rebuilding teams would go after him instead of a younger coach. He’s better off coaching veterans but I don’t see too many vacancies for that.

You joking? Casey is one of the most respected coaches in the league among other coaches and players. He has had a ton of success and his only really weakness has been adjusting on the fly in the playoffs. That's a big deal for us at the moment, but Casey kept the room and succeeded with a bunch of different styles in putting out teams with high rated offenses and defenses without a lot of star power. He could walk into another job tomorrow if he wanted.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Wtf. A white Casey, NOOOOOOO!!! I don't like this and so are the Rexdale peepz.

We need someone like Messina but oh well he can't speak English really well so there's that.

We can't habe Becky Hammon cuz she's a woman.

Gotta please the Rexdale fans who are faithful followers.

Here's the quote from the article and it's not Woj saying it:

"Former Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer is expected to get a close inspection for the Raptors opening, league sources said. Budenholzer met with Milwaukee on Tuesday, league sources said.

Toronto will also consider assistant Nick Nurse and G League coach Jerry Stackhouse, league sources said."
Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

I don't think a Bud engineered offense can suffice without having at least one high IQ player operating down low.

We have Ibaka.

Yep, Ibaka is the biggest problem

DeRozan too though. Bud's system generally relies on their SG being an outside threat

Look at his age, do you seriously think he has teams begging for him to join them? Maybe he becomes an assistant but it’s a lot for a 60+ year old to come in and change the dynamics of a team.

What I like about Bud is that he knows how to run an actual offense. Look at the ball movement he preaches, incredible.

Why would you be shocked? Casey is good enough to coach a team. Just our star players choke and are soft. If Derozan and Lowry and Ibaka played a bit better this could have been a closer series. For our low IQ guys we need a more tactical coach that can simplify things for them. Put Derozan in ideal positions (he is the worst of all our team).

Casey with better talent, I would not be surprised if he goes further. But for our talent level he is not the appropriate coach.

Lebron swept the Hawks that had Milsapp, Horford, Korver and Teague with a team made up of Mozgov, TT, JR, and Delly for half the games.

He’s basically Casey part two.

What do you think that means? If that doesn't tell you Mike is the frontrunner i dunno what to say. Maybe they have a secret coaching phenom up their sleeve. doubt it.

Exactly this.

They're both good coaches, no question about it. But they're literally the same resume, what was the point of firing Casey?

Im certain Casey was a scapegoat (or last ditch effort) until next offseason when I fully expect DeMar, Lowry, Ibaka core to break up

The guy has an even worse defensive scheme than Casey and those Hawks had better defenders.

I don’t know too much about Bud, but the Hawks were dealing with a lot of injury issues during that series.

He is the same as Casey. Just get Stackhouse and sign Vince Carter to teach those youngings.
